Re: [P] Help! An image to examine doesn't appear and I cannot continue with the game!

The problem here is especially simple, so I've fixed it. For what you need, you can resume playing the game. I had to use my moderator (technically "game admin") powers to edit the trial data to fix this. In case anybody is concerned about this, let me explain in more detail: Unas has set up AAO so ...

Okay, you need to be more specific about where exactly the bug is.

Save the game, then right click on the save, copy the URL, and paste it here. That's the surest way for me to find what part of the game you're talking about.

SuperAj3 is right on all counts for this one. If the issue is with somebody's custom graphics, you need to talk to them. There's nothing that AAO developers can do.

Re: Request to add missing sfx/music

I should add that some users did provide some cut AA tracks for possible use in AAO, but I haven't found the time to check if they'd work for our purposes or not... Anybody, please let me know if you're interested in doing some checking for me.

Re: Development news: Forum upgrade

Is there any news about getting emails working again? I'm still getting used to not having an email when I get a PM I need to respond to. I completely understand if this isn't a priority given the rest of the upgrade.

Thanks, Jofe.

AG, please let us know if that didn't fix the issue. If it did, then I say my job here is done.

Re: How can I implicate progress in a Your Trials post? How can I modify a post name?

When you edit one of your posts, there's a "Subject" field above the field with the body of your text. Edit that "Subject" field. If you don't know how to edit a post, I'll need to explain that. Changing the subject of the first post in a topic will rename the topic in the subforum. Only a new post ...

Re: Development news: Forum upgrade

The CSS changes look good.

Good luck on the email fixes.

Re: Development news: Forum upgrade

Here's hoping this is the end of the upgrade, and that it serves AAO well for some time.

Is there a way for us to see the new CSS, so those of us with some technical skill can help with the changes?

Re: Looking Back

Question for planning purposes: from what I understand, having too many frames in a single case might have some negative effects on the player depending on things like browser, online connection, etc. and it's recommended to split cases up if it gets too frame-heavy. Since my entry follows the typi...

Also, if you can show me some of these dead links, I can try to fix them. I'm guessing they never got updated from the server move.

Re: Development news: AAOkube migration incoming

I've been having this save issue, as well. I don't get a specific error code, only this: Failed to save for an unknown reason. Please retry. If the problem persists, please report this bug in the forums. Awesome, that's also the report I got, but Enthalpy was able to dig a more specific error code ...

Re: Development news: AAOkube migration incoming

clcman hasn't been able to save one of his trials. The PHP returns the error "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 413 (Request Entity Too Large)". The trial file he's attempting to save is 817 KB large. I can give you any additional details you want, including the trial fi...

Re: Help! My fades won't work when I have a foreground objec

I can explain what's happening with your test trial. AAO is programmed to not transition in characters when the place changes. Every time you try to get the characters to appear, you also redefine the place, so AAO doesn't apply the transition. If you want the transition, you'll need to define the p...

Re: Development news: AAOkube migration incoming

Based on the details you sent me, I'm looking forward to said "simple way to run AAO on their own computer to test their changes." Though I guess this means that I'll finally need to learn how to use Docker.
