Important piece of news : AAO is moving, in more ways than one.

• The domain sparklin.org will soon disappear.
  But fear not : another domain is already in place - and has been working for years, actually, though I never felt useful to publicise it.
  From now on, please use the http://www.aaonline.fr address to access Ace Attorney Online. Please update your bookmarks !
  No other consequence from that part : your AAO experience will remain exactly the same on the new address.
• The physical machine currently running the AAO website has reached end of life and will very soon be retired.
  For this reason, I will be moving AAO to a new server in the next few days.
  Due to my hectic schedule, I cannot exactly tell you when, but expect some downtime by the end of the week (probably on Friday evening or Saturday) when I will take care of the transfer.

Sorry, it's not a big site update as you may have been expecting; nevertheless, it's vital work that I need to do for the site to keep running.
And having been informed of these close deadlines very recently (and being very busy on other matters lately), it's a little complicated for me to plan the transition correctly - I hope it won't be too bumpy a ride...

Well, Enth, the work not being done would mean AAO not existing anymore, basically
Especially the server move : I was informed by my hosting company on last Friday (April 28th) that the server will be decommissioned beginning of June, giving me barely a month to move everything if I don't want AAO to just vanish. And of course, this happens to be one of the busiest months of my life so far -_-

I'm quite happy I took the time to write down most configuration steps into an automatised install script when I set up AAO on its current server a few years ago. I would just not have the time to do all this if I had to do everything by hand again... ><

Just so you know, I'm not sure the "log me on automatically" option is working.

Well, cookies are stored per domain in your browser, and the automatic login is based on cookies.

So even if you had logged in on aceattorney.sparklin.org, you are not logged in on aaonline.fr. (even though technically it's the same thing, your browser thinks they are two different sites).

You need to login again on aaonline.fr; but then it should work. If not, let me know - there might be more tricky stuff to take care of.

Ah, yes, I see the problem.
phpBB only manages cookies on a single domain... I just updated it to target the aaonline.fr domain (which will likely prevent auto login for everyone on sparklin.org, but well ^^')

Yeah, I guess it will keep working on sparklin until cookies expire, maybe.
Anyway, as long as it's working as the new domain, it's fine for me, I can go to sleep now xD

A couple more settings to manage, please:

* For some reason, post notifications link to aaonline.fr while PM notifications link to the old domain.
* Upon domain move, links should be updated.
