Fade Support!

I'm pleased to announce that the recent AAO update has added a very high-demand feature to AAO. Fades! If you want to see their full capabilities in action, you can play a demonstration trial that ThePasch and I have created, and if you want to see how we accomplished it in-editor so you can do the same tricks, poke at the trial data yourself!

New features:
  • AAO now supports fading in and out of the entire screen, the background, background and character, and everything but the text box. Both the fade color and the fade duration are completely customizable. (ThePasch)
Bugfixes:
  • Changed the implementation of the text blip change from the previous update to better support non-English characters. (ThePaSch)
Be sure to thank ThePasch for these updates, and put them to good use while many of us are stuck home! I personally have a case I need to finish writing, but afterwards, I can assure you there's going to be another new AAO feature in the works... Stay tuned!

I am happier than when my child was born. I don't have children but it's the feeling that counts.
I can't wait to use this. Finally, we haven't need to make thousands gifs to make fades. Honestly, it's really motivating. And I'm looking forward to the new feature (if it's the one I'm thinking of).

Yessss! The miracle did happen! Thank you so much to ThePasch and Enthalpy and the devs in general! This is an amazing feature that, while simple, can make a great difference in the presentation. I wish this was available when I made my case.

I almost want to go back to the editor and implement all the fades.

Thanks, and go right ahead! ThePasch put in the fades to be used, after all.

Well, I just started a case of my own and I honestly can't imagine doing it without fades, since it's almost a necessary feature for introducing witnesses, ending testimonies, moments of truth, etc. Glad I seem to have joined in at just the right time.
