Editor progress and player preview (April Fool!)
As you know, I've been working on AAOv6 for quite a long while now. I think it's high time I posted an update about my progress.
First, let's talk about the editor.
In the editor, I've got the layout for frames, evidence and profiles mostly done. All of this has been reorganised in order to be clearer, and at the same time give faster access to all fields.
For example, you should have a look at the profile tab : see that screenshot and tell me what you think about it.
Also, I haven't completed yet the translation file for the editor, so don't worry about the raw strings on the screenshot; it'll obviously be fixed when released.
However, the editor is far from finished, though it's starting to look quite good.
What is closer to a finish, however, is the V6 player.
Well, it isn't perfect yet, but it already implements some of the features I wanted to include in it.
These features are obviously inaccessible from the V5 editor, but Meph and I have been working on a test trial to show off some of them.
Features include :
- Meph's awesome new style, as in the mockups
- Video playback, including youtube support
- Faster loading times, and little to no lag when playing
- Smoother animations
You can find the preview here. Enjoy, and please give feedback !
