[Suggestion] Make a subforum for featured trials

Post by GanonZD »

I suggest making a subforum of the "Your trials" forum specifically for featured trials; that would make those topics much easier to find. This is particularly relevant because the search facilities in phpBB are ridiculously bad.

Eh. Not really necessary, IMO.

It'd be better (if possible) to just add a link to the thread on the Game page.

I (and possibly others) suggested that earlier as well. But I don't see how one excludes the other.

Doesn't the "Games" tab on the homepage already automatically only show featured trials anyway? I think adding links to the showcase thread is all that really is necessary, like Kwando said. Making a separate subforum isn't really needed when clicking the games tab is all that you need to do to see all the featured trials.

No need for redundancy. That's why.

The thing just is, we don't have links to the showcase thread from the Games section, and we probably won't ever get that, considering the pace in which AAO is currently being developed -- at least not for a very long time. A subforum, on the other hand, is possible to implement right now with one click by an admin.

And the thing is, it's still silly to add a subforum for no reason whatsoever.

If you're looking for a trial, you'll find it. Adding a link field to a trial on the games shouldn't be too hard. Your suggestion is still redundant and unnecessary.
