Quick question about this. Are you guys planning on having AAO cases playable on mobile?

That depends on how powerful your smartphone is. It might not be possible yet anyway.

As far as I'm concerned, the V6 player seems to work quite fine in Chrome and Firefox (though Firefox doesn't get the sound, if I'm not mistaken, because of lack of both Flash and mp3 audio support) on my Galaxy S3.
I'm not planning on a specific interface for mobiles, if this was your question

Not even by using responsive design in the Player?

So basically, if I wanted to play on my iPhone, it won't work huh.

What makes you say that ? It should.kwando1313 wrote:So basically, if I wanted to play on my iPhone, it won't work huh.
The rendering engine in Safari is the same as in Chrome and the stock Android browser; plus, since Apple was one of the biggest supporters of HTML5 audio support, I do hope that the iPhone should be able to play the sounds.
But you know what ? Just go test it and tell me.
Mobile support is not an objective for me, but there is no reason why it shouldn't work.
(Being practical is another problem, though)
Possibly, but I won't focus on that in V6.0 at least.Meph wrote:Not even by using responsive design in the Player?

So, trying to use my phone on V6 would work, but V5 won't work? (If that's what I'm understanding)
Also, it generally tends to crash when playing on the phone, so, that's why I don't try playing from there.

Yes. Well, it depends on how powerful and up-to-date the browser on your phone is.kwando1313 wrote:So, trying to use my phone on V6 would work, but V5 won't work? (If that's what I'm understanding)

Well, I got your standard iPhone 4. So, standard Safari on that.

With iOS 6? It should work, but it wouldn't be a great experience, since the Player heavily relies on animated GIFs.

Naw, I'm still on iOS5(?)(I'm on the one before the one with the iPhone 5, I don't want that Apple Maps.)

Have you tried Chrome for iOS ?

Re: [E][F][M][P][S] AAO6 website and app prototypes
What difference would that make? iOS doesn't offer the APIs to create browser layout engines. Chrome embeds an iframe of Safari, but they're only allowed to use a slower version with slower JavaScript JIT compilation.Unas wrote:Have you tried Chrome for iOS ?

Ah, true, I had forgotten that iOS was this bad.
To think that I forgot one more good reason to troll Apple ><

Wouldn't playing cases on your iPhone cause the power to drain pretty quickly, unless you had it charging?
