Bruce Goodman

Post by lazyplague »

There are Bruce Goodman sprites in the editor...

But yet they aren't official nor is there any credit to the artist THAT I CAN FIND.

Unless I'm missing something here....

THEY SHOULDN'T BE THERE, OR IS MISSING THE PROPER CREDIT.

Sorry art credit things peeve me off so I may not be thinking clearly.

PS: the coat is supposed to be closed anyway.

Sorry if I made a mistake.

There was a thread about this a long time ago explaining this, but can't find it atm.

See here for the first time custom fan-sprites were ever mentioned for the editor, Bruce Goodman spriteset is one of its kind for AAO editor btw:

http://aceattorney.sparklin.org/forum/v ... =28&t=4379

They were originally done by Mikker (according to E.D. and his comprehensive guide on AAO thread).

Obviously the spriteset is different from the editor than found on CR.

Check these links out:
Spritesheet from old CR backup forums: http://z11.invisionfree.com/court_recor ... topic=1090

Spritesheet from main CR website: http://www.court-records.net/customs/mikker-goodman.png

I thought by now the party@AAO would have put some mention of credits as to the original artist for this work (or at least mentioned somewhere where these came from clearly) but I guess they haven't.

You mean *not, right? :P

Well you think they would've after two years since these were put in the editor. Bark on Unas/Meph to do so in a thread or in the editor somewhere :P

I think they should be removed, considering the fact, that they are non-official and even not properly animated.

If they are going to be in AAO that should be only in Resources: Custom Sprites of Canon Characters in my opinion.

All the more reason to place some proper credits somewhere to him ;P

I can understand the point Sligger made, but only if they aren't able to be used properly by vanilla means through the editor. Can't really comment on the non-official part though since authors here could use more custom content like that spriteset and wouldn't mind if it's non-official or not.

Sadly, it's too late now. Some people have most likely used them.
