Just A Gameplay Feature or Method or Something...
I'm trying to make a trial series with Apollo as the main character. Anyway, I was thinking of adding a new gameplay feature or method (I don't know what it's exactly called). Basically its about the defense attorney and the now-revealed-to-be-the-culprit-witness duking it out with arguments. It's nothing grand since it just involves the culrpit asking the howdunnit's and the defense arguing the possibilities and etc.
It's like this:
Apollo: "You killed the victim!"
Culprit: "Oh yeah!? How did I transport the body then!? I'm just a little boy who hasn't gone through puberty yet!"
Apollo is then required to present evidence.
Apollo: "You used this trolley! There are some fingerprints on it."
Culprit: "What!? Are those my fingerprints there!?"
Apollo is required to answer with a yes or no.
Apollo: "No. But it belongs to your older brother who was your accomplice!"
Culprit: "Can you even prove that!?"
Apollo is required to present evidence again.
Apollo: "This is the piece of evidence that proves it!'
And the argument goes on until some decisive evidence is presented or the witness messes up.
Some epic music would be playing in the background and I plan to have the questions timed or something. Just to give a dynamic feel to the clash of wits (although the save feature pretty much makes that pointless).
The idea behind this feature was that I think I could add something to the feel of how the defense attorneys in the AA games fought with the culprit. They were entertaining and had mostly good ends but I felt that it was lacking in some action. And that's why I came up with this idea.
Any comment/feedback about this would be nice since I'm really stumped on how I'm going to end the first case on my script.

Not like those. There would be zero cross-examinations and testimonies during the "sequence". It's just like a question and answer between the defense and the culprit.

I wouldn't quite call it a 'new gameplay feature'.

Mabuhay!
I'd avoid timed stuff, as that tends not to work in an AA-setting. It is possible to have timed stuff, but it's quite an advanced technique few have ever done here, myself included.

I see. Mabuhay din sayo! (I'm not really one to say that phrase). Anyway... I guess I'm scratching the timer idea out.

So... something like Logic Chess? Looks interesting.
