This is a known issue with Chrome. I'm working on a fix for this one. In the meantime, you'll have to use Firefox.

There are hints of progress on this one now. I've done about all I can do on this one on my own.
I think this is a problem in Chrome, and I have a minimalist test case written up. I'd appreciate if people with JS proficiency could look over my test case and tell me if it looks any good or not. Remember, expected behavior prints 266 to console, glitch behavior prints 246 to the console. You have to use Chrome, and using a server changes behavior. Test case zip here.

Running it on Chrome on my computer, I got 266... I'll read over the js when I have time later. ^^

I'll check if behavior was OS-dependent or not... Was that done on or off a server? On always gives me 266, but off almost always gives 246. (I've gotten 266 once, but restarting Chrome fixed that.)
EDIT: Also, ignore the test_install and trunk folders. I thought I had removed those. They will be gone for all future downloads.
EDIT x2: A bit more testing has shown me more that even without a server, you CAN consistently get 266. If that happens, restart a couple of times until you hit 246.

I did some fiddling around with this one, and there looks to be good news.
Chrome's current beta release seems to have fixed this bug! I'll need to do some more concentrated digging to be sure, but things look pretty good! The beta release will be standardized on October 1st, unless Chrome breaks their traditional six-week release schedule.
In the meantime, you'll have to use Firefox (or Chrome's beta channel) a little bit longer.
