All mEn fall...

Well, since Ping' and Gumpei were so nice to take the bait and post their comp thread first, I no longer have any shame to post this! ;D

About:
Sooo... Yeah, this is my comp entry for the "Never-Ending Turnabout" Competition hosted by Bad Player and Blackrune. Am I going to tell you what it's about? No. Am I going to tell you anything about the premise or the crime? No. Give any screens? No. See, as I mentioned before, I believe it's always best to go as blind as possible into cases (I mean, if you knew the premise of all the cases from all the original AA cases without actually playing them first, a part of the fun would be ruined, wouldn't it now? ...That's the way I look at it, anyway.)

So, instead, I'm just going to present you with the links to the case:

Parts:

Please note that this trial uses .apng images, so you will HAVE to play it in Firefox if you want the experience I would like you to have. ;) Also, keep in mind that all of this trial's custom content is on DropBox, so please be patient if it's not loading for you. ...That being said, if you can see the case logo above or my avatar, you are most likely good to go.

Credits:
DWaM - Well, main writer guy, I suppose.
Evolina de Luna - She helped out during planning, giving ideas to the plot and planned out a couple of the CEs.
The Fury Wraith - Beta-Tester
Bad Player and Blackrune - hosting the comp.
Also, for sprites:
Spoiler : Possible Spoilers :
LunchPolice - sprites of Eileen Dawns
Eldariub - Victor Eisenhower's sprites

Depends. Do you want the Jason from Heavy Rain or the Jason from Friday the 13th? I mean, you won't get either, but just out of curiousity.

Wait, we're back in the present now.
You could've stayed longer in the past in my original draft, you know. ...But then you would've gotten bored fast.

Thanks for playing so far. If you actually survive until the end, I might just give you a cookie.

Considering this ended up taking Rune 8 hours Hm, or... not? Well, anyway, I'm not expecting people to finish this quickly, but... You know... Would be nice...

I'd post my stream of consciousness, but I think it'd still be too potentially spoilerish at this point. xP
(not that people are supposed to look at it before finishing the case, but they might come desperately looking for hints if they get stuck.)

For now I'll just point this out:
Spoiler : not really a spoiler, but potentially a bug :
I was unable to proceed past the first testimony in part 2. Even after I looked in the walkthrough and followed the steps, it wouldn't continue. Looks like your average variable problem... or the trial just decided to glitch up for me. Just check again if that thing works as intended.

You can edit that.
It'd be silly to force you to keep it unbeatable because judging takes forever. (just don't add any new convos or anything)

Spoiler : Stream of Conciouisness Part 1-2 :
It's nice being able to do these. AND YOU ACTUALLY RESPOND TO THEM.
At least I saved! I have the cell phone and window now.
Hold on a second...
If the autopsy report says nothing about injuries sustained from a fall, then why does he claim...
Nice fakeout there.
"Ironic, right?" has female blips.
Umineko or that other japanese thing that nobody cares about but you?
I'M RIGHT! YES!
...Except for the gunshot, of course.
It says he didn't live longer than 3 minutes. That's enough time to sustain injuries from a fall.
Wait, that was fake? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Don't cross the judge, idiots.
Antique? Pshaw!
I guess this is worth a try.
AAAAND nope.
Wait, we're going to get a new piece of evidence...
Yes! The first statement IS relevant!
So we have a new list of suspects.
I guess that's the end of the first testimony. *phew*
Looks like we're about to lose...
crapcrapcraaaaaaaaap
OBJECTAFEST
This judge is awesome. But he's still incompetent.
vistiorslistvisitorslistvisitorslist
Of course I've found a flaw!
Yes, let's get on to the presenting!
Whoops! TAbbed out.
ogodogodogod.
Right. If this is what I think it is, then I am great at logic once again!
Here goes nothing.
...CANOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON
Er, plot hole, much?
See, there are tons of other visitors. Who's to say one of them killed Groud and placed the blame on Yalt?
Darn it DWaM, your plot holes astound me!
Darn it DWaM, your needless puns astound me!
Oh. Duh.
ANOTHER GODDAMN PLOT HOLE?!?!??!?!
saving.
argh you
Third time's the charm, right? Office window it is.
...Fourth time...?
...Er, you're really making me grasp for straws!
Evo has slow internet, too!
I'm taking a break from this...
And we're back with a loaded draft and a loaded game. Without sound.
It figures you'd hide it deep in the source code.
The hell? The trial's not loading (I got it wrong again)...
Okay, I'm gonna need help. Gav out for now...

(Just gonna clear this little bit up...)
Spoiler : :
All of the visitors were found, questioned and no connection with Groud was established/or no relevance with the crime was found because they had an alibi during the time of the crime. Not to mention that a gunshot was heard and Yalt was shortly found at the scene? Not to mention if one WERE to point that out, how exactly would you go about proving they had anything to do with the crime...?

EDIT: NOT TO MENTION, the point of what you're trying to present is that Yalt isn't the killer, not that someone else is. Even if you did point this out, again, considering all of the evidence, everything still points to Yalt being the killer, especially considering you don't have the evidence to prove what you're suggesting.
As for what you need to do next...
Spoiler : :
It's a trap. ;)
