AAO Game Making contest #1
(I'm not sure to post it either here or in the Art section, I think here?)
I saw this idea on another forum, and I thought why not post it here.
It basically comes down on that, in teams, you make a game that follows a few rules.
The best team will win a prize, normally, not here, I am broke >_<
So its just for the fun!
Here are the rules:
Rule #1: Keep the game PG-13, we have young members on this forums, and we don't want them to play certain games...*shot*
Rule #2: The teams have to consist at least 2 members, and can have a max. of 5 members.
Rule #3: The games have to be playable for at least 20 minutes (this excludes cut scenes).
Rule #4: The games are not longer then 180 minutes (this includes cut scenes). *1
Rule #5: All entries have to be submitted before the 18th of October, I think that's a sunday, every team will have plenty of time.
Rule #6: The game must include at least 1 boy and 1 girl as playable characters.
If the game has only one playable character, there has to be a gender choice in the beginning.
Rule #7: Any team that doesn't obey the rules will be disqualified.
Rule #8: You cannot use the trial maker to make your game, we already have the case competition section for that.
If there are any questions just ask them in thread and I will answer.
If you sign up, I would like you to say who are in your team.
Its only counted as a sign-up if every member of the team confirms it.
You're entirely free which program you use to make the game:
It can be Gamemaker, RPG maker and anything else, except the trial maker.
*1: This is about the game itself, if you go game over and take longer then 180 minutes to finish its your own fault.
After every team has send in their entry, there will be a poll, deciding the winner.
Competing Teams:
The Team of Jibber and Daan.

Sounds fun. I would enter.
The only problem could be that there aren't to many game creators in AAO. Though I'm sure a lot of us would give it a try XD.

I'd happily playtest for someone.
Re: AAO Game Making contest #1
I dont think I could actually contribute to anyone's team... But if anyone's willing to drag me along and show me things along the way I would really love that! It'd be interesting to learn how to make a game.
& If not.. I understand. :3

I am so happy I have Jibber on my team, I can script decently, but that guy is a genius!
@Lights, Pandora and Zhuzhu: Maybe you could ask someone to work together with?

I've clarified rule 6 and added another rule.
If you guys would wish to team up, post in thread, remember everyone has to clarify.
