Don't tell me that nothing good happens in y'alls lives. We all have great tings happening in our lives, so share! Even share the things you are just merely thankful for in your every day lives. Treat this like a LIG topic, except you probably want to elaborate a tad more.


Today was the first time I have taken ADHD medication in a LONG time. When I did so many years ago, it was ineffectual, and my psychiatrist says it could have exacerbated my anxiety. But today was a different prescription, and... wow.

Lemme tell y'all in list form what my first day on it was like...
* I'm less impulsive. Granted, having an impulsive nature is nice, but this wasn't quite like a nature. Rather, it was an all-compelling, instant urge, where every impulse needed an immediate and strong response. This caused misunderstandings, arguments, and stressful situations all around.
* My empathy isn't just how I feel, it's how I act as well.
* I am able to control the volume of my voice. No seriously, ask anyone here that's spent time with me before today, I couldn't stop being loud.
* I don't feel the need to comment the second someone is done speaking, and I'm able to handle conversations.
* I hung out with my sister today. We never fought once. This contrasts to "every time we are near each other, we argue".
* I don't stress out as much, nor dwell on things. This means a decreasing of my teeth grinding.
* I don't stutter as much. Not that I am a stutterer, but how fast my thought process went couldn't keep up with the rest of myself, so I would end up trying to rush out my words faster than I could speak..
* I haven't even cursed or raised my voice. This is REALLY weird for me.
* Time seems to go at a set interval, instead of ZOMFGWHATHAPPENED fast, and obscenely, depressingly slow.
* I'm able to focus on being a healthy person instead of wallowing in my own self-pity more, since I can now think properly. Before, every thought would hit me at once, and most of them were negative.

There's probably more, but I am so elated that I can't properly articulate how I am now. ADHD medicine is probably the pivot point to where I can turn my life around.

Wow, that's awesome Ami, glad to hear that's worked out.

Let's see... yesterday - well, it feels like it was yesterday - I got my first confirmation that my thread about my dear friend that needs commissions to help provide for herself and her family has actually helped in seeing that Blackrune got a commission in, was quite elated to see that.

And after weeks of hitting constant snags with how to progress the final trial part, I've finally gotten into the swing of making progress on the Turnabout Redeemer outline, that should be finished soon, so that's awesome.

So I've been overheating the past couple days to the point of getting sick (I threw up once and I really thought I was going to have to go to the hospital) but it's been cooling down and I'm starting to feel a LOT better after getting a lot of rest with the fan on.

So yeah that's awesome and now I can properly focus on a lot of stuff that needs doing.

Aww... was out all day from 2-10. Awesome birthday party, but I have a horrible headache.

Sung most of the time. Got to sing this by myself, but... um... got to sing this song with, um... a guy I really, really like.
