The confusing identity week (Proposal)

Hey, I had an idea (Because you see, I'm bored), just for fun
I remember this Old Avatar Week we have and such, in which we change our avatars to our 1st avatars for a whole week.

Well, I thought of something similar, but with identities, and much more fun and confusing xD
As you may have guessed, for one week we could get a totally new identity on the forums! (That is, respecting the rules of the forums. That means no trolling/spamming/etc while impersonating or such. We have our ways to know who did what, specially Unas since he manages username changes.)

So, for one week, you can get a totally new avatar, a totally new sig, and if Unas and the moderation agree, new usernames (which is the funny part of this). For one week you have a totally new identity (except for the post count and the topics you created), and people shall call you by your new name, not really knowing who you are. If you wish to, and the other user agrees, you can even impersonate another user by taking his sig/avatar and username (Which would be fun to see different users impersonating each other )

Of course, you can keep the normal course of action in your trials, other topics, etc...
But it'll be fun to see how other people are confused and don't get to call you by your right name probably, or call you by your new name xD

So, what do you think? I think it would be fun and fresh

Also, for all the haters who are going to criticize this suggestion/idea:
I don't really think this idea would bring chaos or disaster to the forums.
Some people might get confused but it becomes fun

And the point? What's the point then?
Only fun! Nothing more!

Hmmm. Well I'm not sure if moderators would be able to participate, but this would be hilarious.

However, it would be easy to figure out people's identities, because you just need to look at their previous posts.

Yeah, but the funny thing is if you don't check it
And even if you check it your brain will assume the person you're talking to is actually that person.

Oh and mods could actually participate
If I participate I would ask Unas to remove me 1 week from the mod group (with the powers remaining though )

Of course, you would be able to tell who the person is by looking at their past posts...

I just hope there's no server limit or something so Unas can approve this.
Even if 100 users have to change their name, I don't think it would cause a problem.
(Of course I only expect like 20-30 people, but damn it'll be fun xD)

This seems like a lot of work, and it all has to be handled by an admin (of which there are two). Given their schedules, it'd be sorta likely a scheduling conflict would happen.

That's why an effort would be much more than appreciated.
Unless Unas gives me the power to change usernames for one day since I have more time to do it and am willing to do the effort. The last thing I want to do is cause trouble to the high staff, so I think it would be the best way to avoid disturbing Unas.

Sorry, but as Geno said, renaming users is an admin right.
That is, unless I activate the username field in the user edition form so that everyone can do it... But I won't do that, even for a limited period of time, because I anticipate the many people complaining when I'll deactivate it again about "I didn't have time to change it back, can you do it"...

In either case, it eats up my time for something that I'm not particularly enthusiastic about, since I'm more of a maniac of order

I mean, it's not like I'm going to erase the forums or screw the database

(Though I admit it is a greeeat act of trust needed to do that. Even for a day)

Sounds like a fun idea. It would be easy to tell who's who but since there would be a few people participating, I don't think anyone would be able to keep track and that's what would make it good. Although I prefer the idea of people randomly swapping names, avatars and signatures to being given entirely new ones.

As senior mod, I can be trusted. Plus, it'd be really convenient if I could be like an ULTRA MOD, where I can have more responsibilities and be able to have power in every section of the English Section. You have to agree, I'm a woman that's an organizing force. =3
