Tropical storm Irene's gonna hit. And it HAD to be just when I was gonna begin work on Case 2.

Oh well. Just making this to let you know that I'm not gonna be online for a while until the storm leaves. Hopefully it'll just be a day or two.

Stay safe! Though tropical storms are never really that bad. I've been in a hurricane before, even that was just meh. They're scary and they can do some property damage, but they're hardly as dangerous as they seem (barring a few spectacularly bad disasters like Katrina.)

Thanks, everyone. My area's starting to receive the rain and some wind, but hopefully it's not gonna be a particularly bad one. I still remember hurricane Georges in 1996... *shudders* And the Net is now slow as hell. XD

EDIT: Here's how the situation looks in my area. Of course, at the time of this writing the storm's starting to hit us.

Well, the storm may have left, but now we have leftover rains and winds and they are causing hell over here. It's so bad that the University of Puerto Rico (my alma mater <3) had to cancel classes and administrative labors until further notice, as well as other colleges. It's caused massive flash floods in vulnerable areas, dams are overflowing and several streets are closed: in fact, in my mom's hometown there's this HUGE crater in a street caused by the rains. DX

...So yeah. Prepare yourselves, fellow Americans, for Irene. Just in case. Hopefully this won't be another Katrina.

Thanks everyone. I'm thankfully fine, thank God, and still have utilities like water and power (and yes, america, there's a crater. XD More on that below.) But in many places on the island, however, there's neither, and hundreds have been moved into refuges. In fact, here's a news clip (in Spanish sadly) about the crater I mentioned earlier. Ignore the initial commercial, if any, and then watch the images. It's shocking, to say the least. Near the crater, in summary, there's over 100 families in danger of their homes being swallowed whole by the hole. lol, hole. c wut i did thar?
