Hey guys. My friend let me use his CYC idea, so I'm adding the rules to here now.

OK, well - my last attempt at changing the format of the text-based RPG fell flat on its face, so here's another attempt. There is no plot yet - you shall see why soon - but there is the golden rule:

You may not make up your own character.

Yep - all characters in this game must come from either video games, anime shows, or TV shows. When we have enough people playing, we can try and cobble together a plot based on which characters we get. The usual rules apply - you can't add any abilities or remove any weaknesses from your character, though you can remaster them, you can't control other characters, etc. And any character is game, as long as they feature in a video game, anime or TV show. You can have Jim Raynor if you so wish.

Also, some rules I should add that is important like,

No Godmodding.

No double posting, or whatever you do like that.

And no pictures that has nothing to do with this rpg. (That also counts for no bad pictures.)

Also, you only can have one character right now.

Who do I pick? Samus Aran. Refresher on her abilities:
Power Beam (laser - unlimited ammo)
Plasma Beam (flamethrower)
Ice Beam (freezer)
Missiles
Wave Beam (homing laser, can go through walls)
Morph Ball
Energy Bombs (can only be dropped in Morph Ball mode)
Screw Attack
Grapple Beam

She gets several different visors too:
Combat Visor (basic, indicates ammo and a threat assessment)
Scan Visor (can be used to gain information about an object, can also hack into computer systems)
Thermal Visor (like thermal goggles)
X-Ray Visor

She also gets her gunship, where she can restock all her ammo Very Happy . Without her suit, she gets boost boots and a weapon that has a gun mode and a mode that resembles a flexible lightsaber whip.

The above should give you an idea on how to handle video game characters with multiple versions that differ between games - I've taken what I consider Samus' most useful features (most from Metroid Prime, the no-suit weapon from SSBB) and modified them in a manner that would suit an RPG.

Shiki Tohno

Mystic Eyes of Death Perception - His eyes are special. He sees lines and dots on everything. If he traces those lines or stabs those dot, the thing that they're on are instantly killed. Even if the thing is invincible. What he sees is the eventual "death" of the object (or lifeform). Armor, regeneration, and magical protection are all useless before him. Even instant reincarnation fails. He can kill the planet if he wants to (he did it once...). If he can see it, he can kill it... If he's fast enough. Shiki has the body of a normal person, so he can't kill everything. If he's really overwhelmed, he can activate (subconsciously) his Hidden Talents.

Hidden Talents - He was originally part of a demon slaying family. Shiki Tohno is just part of him. When he's in danger, Shiki Nanaya comes out. He's a trained killer. His instincts help him avoid most attacks. Also, when he is near someone with abnormal powers, he can tell.

Shiki's just a normal teenager in everything else, though.

Ok. For the reminder, I am not going to put up a section for the powers and all that. Perhaps you could edit your other post with the powers and add that weapon with it, only if you want.

Boost Knuckle
The Grungust launches its arm so it can perform an aerial punch.

Hyper Blaster
This is a powerful heated blaster weapon fired from the chest.

Type-0 Colossal Blade (Reishiki Zankantou (lit: Type-0 Ship-Cutter Blade) in the Japanese version)
Sanger summons his Colossal Blade which arrives using its thrusters. He uses it to deliver a massive swing to destroy the opposing target. In Super Robot Wars Original Generations, the Type-0 carries the Colossal Blade with it at all times.
