Also, I have two more questions:
1. My case reveals the supernatural part on the end, is that okay?
2. How do I submit my entry?
Well, I don't consider myself crazy...

I prefer insane...

1. Well thanks for the spoilers, man. In all seriousness, the MOST theme-relevant case would have a maybe-supernatural element weaving throughout the whole case, with plenty of evidence both for and against it being actual magic. It's fine if you don't follow that model exactly - a great case that isn't theme relevant is better than a terrible theme-relevant one. (Though a great theme-relevant case is better than both of them.) Just do what you think is best. Though, obviously, this would make it REALLY important to finish your case before the deadline.

2. Oh, I guess our first-post rules just assumed everyone here knows how to do this. To quote the official comp rules:
Da Rules wrote:•Entrants must PM the host with a link to their entry on or before the day of the deadline.
In other words, use AAO's PM system (you can access it by clicking the little "0 new messages" at the top of your screen) to send both Acid Rain and I a link to your trial. Make sure that you also go into the Trials Manager and put us as playtesters, or we won't be able to play the trial. Which will make us sad.

You can check out the rest of those rules here, just to be sure you understand everything.

Anyone who actually manages to submit four cases in one comp automatically becomes the toughest dude on AAO. In case, y'know, anyone wants to shoot for that accolade.

I was serious about entering (okay I was doing nothing) but the comp timeframe got VERY stressful for me.

So, uh, I'm out.

I'm getting custom resources made for this trial, so chances are good it'll be done some day, but I don't really want to put a time limit on it.

Since you aren't stopping production, I assume you're speaking for Zeel here as well? In either case, we are sad to see you go.

Though, as a general word of advice, if there is any comp theme suited for last-minute joke entries after your original plan doesn't work out, this would be it.

As long as every frame doesn't have a bell sfx I'm 100% pumped for this.

Also, I've had these for a while, but kinda forgot to post them until now:

LMAO those last words. You take this very seriously.

And, yes, we won the field trip.

And, yes, I know I was chatting a lot, but it was when I woke up, having lunch or after 9 PM.

And, no, I won't try to do a case for this competition in a month.

And, yes, I'm going to shut up now.

PS. Why do I feel like Storage D has a special meaning?

As much as I'd hate for the portrait man to grow old and die, human blood probably isn't a price that BASE should play to keep it alive.

It's okay. We get it from cadavers at the local morgue.

Seriously, that was in the earlier draft before it got cut for space.

Well if they're dead then it's fine, though I'd think blood hungry, psychic paintings would prefer live donors. Well I trust BASE to understand the needs of haunted paintings.

The key word there is "prefer." BASE is concerned with human safety, not anomaly comfort.

It was actually considered that blood from blood donations could be used, but there were concerns about some potential psychic link between the donors and the painting. Better safe than sorry.

I'm considering entering this, but I have limited time. If I do enter, I'm going to give myself the following absolute restrictions:

* Only using pre-made assets. Sprites, backgrounds, everything.
* No music. No sound.

I'd like to see if I can make something good without programming and presentation flourishes.
