How early is too early for a hypeshot? Who knows, because I'm just a beginner scrub who's only made 6 posts on this website, so you can't blame me for being premature! :^)

Please don't bash me if this idea has already been done yet, I have no clue of the originality of my concept.

Sure, looks good. Remember though that your entry should primarily be a trial (though a minor out-of-court scene or two can fit, just don’t make any investigation scenes).

Of course, this is just a short prologue of why Phoenix Wright is doing the case (because I can't make a flashy prologue like the actual games), the rest of the case from then on will be the trial segment.

This is definitely not the only frame in my trial at the moment, incidentally.
From that screenshot alone, you can technically guess one of the lawyers. Yay!

Obviously, since the grey bearded judge isn't judging, that means that he is the prosecutor in this case. Right? Right?
Well I've finished my intro. Aaaaaaaand it's only 50 frames. I've got a long way to go, eh? Now I have to make some sprites for my defendant. I've already done their normal sprite, now time to go wild with it.

Making your own sprites, eh? That's definitely quite interesting, now :p Looking forward to it!

Here's a question about something I'm undecided on. Should I try to stick to a more canon Ace Attorney feel, or include some more gimmicks?
I'm asking because every case I try to make ends up with decidedly un-Ace Attorney-like sections. This theme would be perfect to create something entirely orthodox, but I end up including those gimmicks because they are things that I haven't seen much of before, and want to try making them.
The case has one main twist on the usual formula. I can either leave it there and make it feel like canon stuff does (if I can), or build up further from the twist I've introduced.

As long as it fits the conditions given in the OP, go for it! We don't really care whether it's too AA or not as long as you're upfront about it.

Can I have fifty witnesses if they're all just the same person dressed up forty-nine times?
