Case competition

Trust will be restored
Justice will be revived
A new era will begin
As part of the AAO - The Bright Age of the Law events, I'm happy to announce this new case competition.

Tasks
The Bright Age of the Law is the start of a new era for Ace Attorney Online - a new era which revolves, of course, around the long-awaited V6 editor and player.
Your help is required in polishing these new jewels before their official release.
By building the most brilliant cases with AAO6, you will provide important feedback to help improve it further, and you will demonstrate the abilities of this new system.

The theme of that competition is The Bright Age of the Law - In Justice we trust !
Your story will therefore have to build upon a strong faith of people in Justice.
Whether you depict a society which already blindly trusts in its lawmen (cf. trailer), or relate a case that restores this trust, or follow any other interpretation of the theme is up to you.

There aren't any other specific rules : tragedy or comedy, original universe or AA canon... It's up to you to decide.
Let your creativity take control, and do your best to be recognized as the best author in the new era that unfolds !

Rewards
Because it's a unique event for AAO, The Bright Age of the Law brings some specific rewards.

1st prize :
  • 1 "AAO - The Bright Age of the Law" collector mug :

I am not K1, but I am the "legit reason" DWaM mentioned to justify announcing the results late :D
I warned him a little in advance precisely because I wanted to make sure I would not cause prejudice to an ongoing competition. The winner of DWaM and enigma's comp will be able to organise his own competition in August when this one is over ;-)

That could be arranged, the design is not definitive.

Where did you see "forced AA style" ?
I precisely want to leave most possibilities open. Aside from the fact that it has to be related to Justice to fit in the theme, there is no format constraint.

So, if a two or more users work together to create the entry and it becomes first, does everyone in the group get a mug?

I actually considered this is a possible theme, but I know Enth is still nervous about the v6 editor, so I didn't propose it to him...

On the one hand, we have to delay our comp. On the other hand, this means I/we can enter again and go for a twofer!

Nope sorry. I've thought about that but it could become really expensive for me (mainly because of shipping)
So it'll only be one mug for the winning entry of this competition.

However, this competition is only the first event of TBAOTL - who knows what awaits in the next announcements ;-)

The mug can be cut in half, though. So if two users enter the competition with one entry, they each get one half of the mug!

It's as Enthalpy says.
In V6, trials are really private until they are made public :-)
With one additional rule : V6 introduces the concept of "playtesters". That's like collaborators, except they can only play and not edit the trial.

Anyway, in case there still was some doubt : it no longer is April 1st for me in France, and The Bright Age of the Law is definitely no joke. That's serious business :-D

ZetaAzuel and I are teaming up for this one regardless of the single mug. We've agreed that if (for some reason) we were to get first, he'd get the mug.
