Help! Adding a delay to two separate parts of one line?

Post by ryekseu&colawoffices »

Here's the basic layout of things.

One of the characters I'm creating has a line of dialogue in which he stutters.

Example:
Spoiler : :
I...uh...I think...I think I need to use the restroom.
And what I'm trying to do is slow the dialogue when he stutters while it being visually in the same frame.

So, "I...uh..." would be shown first, and then "I think..." will follow it up on the same frame, and vice versa.

Right now, I've tried merging the first frame with the other frame that has a slower typing speed, but it's not the result I'm trying to get.

This tutorial has already answered your question. You want to insert a pause. See Section II.c. Ask again if that isn't clear.
