Can't go to defense and prosecution benches
Okay, so this might sound stupid, but I can't go to the defense and prosecution benches, only the witness stand. Am I being stupid?

You need to be more specific about "can't go to".
If you mean you can't find them in the editor, they're part of the same background as the witness stand, but you need to set the screen position to left or right for them to appear in-editor. This has the nice effect that you don't need to re-define the background every time you switch from prosecutor to defense to witness. They're all on the same background!

Holy crap, I ended up using custom benchs because I didn't know this.
