And this is the sprite I'm working on right now. Actually, it was supposed to be a fake screenshot sorta thing, but I liked the pose so much that I decided to turn it into a sprite instead.

This was supposed to be my entry for the comp, but then I decided to tweak her design, so now it's just a random sprite.

Rather like this one. The body just feels better to me.
...but not the face, I just don't like the way you make faces in general, it's not that there's something wrong with it.

I think it's because it's not really the same artstyle as the AA games and these are AA-esque characters?

(To ann-nna) Your way of drawing faces reminds me a little of some Disney artwork (the long thin eyes and the button noses). I think it's a cute style (I just the Winter Gaudee art you did and I lov her outfit)! I wonder if you've tried out different styles in art before?

Ooh, brutal honesty? XD I'm pretty sure there is something wrong with her face, because I don't like it either. Freaks me out tbh. XD

Well, you could say that. When I just started drawing, pretty much all I did was copying pictures I liked, Disney included.
It must've rubbed off on my current style.

Most people that are regular have noticed the lack of my presence here, but when I notice that I can help someone to get better I have to do something.

so...

With some tweaks, the face that you consider creepy can become cute!
What I did was adding a neck and thick outlines on her nose and her eyes. I also made her face more round and add a bit of shading.
I recommend you comparing the original sprite to this tweaked version so you can see the differences better.

I revamped the character depicted in that horrid sprite. XD But I get the feeling I'll revamp her some more.
Don't have much to say about her. Her name, if I don't think of anything better, is Momo. She works in LA as a kindergarten teacher and haven't trained for so long that she can't even charge her own magatama. She probably asks Pearl. XD
