*dusts off this thread*
*cough* Wow it sure has been a while since I've done anything sprite related.

After fiddling around a bit, I came up with a wip image of a certain villain prosecutor from my own trial series. So here I present a rough draft of Nathan Valon:

Image

Obviously based on Luke Atmey (who was so far used to represent him in my cases). I fairly like how this turned out, especially since it hasn't been too much work so far. The one point where I'm not sure is the nose though.

Feedback welcome! :)

How about... changing the ring and big bowtie to something other or completely removing? And the black belt thing under the coat would be better white. :) The edits you have already made are very efficient, since I usually, when playing, stare at the characters' faces.

You make the prosecutor's badge look even more superior to the attorney's badge by making it that big.

But hey, the prosecutors are superiors anyway. :)

...But, isn't that badge shown on a person in GK2? It isn't that big...

The badge was deliberately left oversized, to let him appear as a show off.
Spoiler : :
Also, his planned breakdown animation supposedly will have him rip it off and crush it in his hand. And that wouldn't look as good with a regular, small badge.

Yikes! A big sharp badge crushed in the palm of his hand, I'm assuming there will be blood on his hand.
Since he's a showoff...
Spoiler : AA5 Case 2 :
Would there be a sprite where he constantly plays & fiddles with his badge, trying to get the viewer's attention to it?
Kind of like Florent L'Belle's flower on his blazer (AA5), when he keeps fiddling with it making us occasionally look at it. :)

I'm not exactly sure why I'm asking this, I guess I'm just curious and really interested. Haha!

That's actually a pretty good question!
Spoiler : :
I indeed planned something like this. However, since my first ideas for this sprite came long before Dual Destinies was even announced, I based it more on how Quercus Alba fiddles with his medals.
I'm not sure how I will actually put it in - if I can make him actually fiddle with it, or simply reuse Atmey's polishing animation to have him polish the badge instead.

Now, since the above attempt was mainly focused on the head, I tried to alter the body a bit.

Opinions?

It seems to be a lot better. Still some Atmey influences but they aren't that big of a deal.

There's few minor things:
Grey doesn't work well as the tie's shade.
The shirt thing looks little scruffy. Use a brighter colour than black.
Other than that, it looks better. :)

Woah. Thanks for pointing that out! I thought he used a darker maroon or burgundy.
