You could use Von Karma. He's not exactly young. And Payne's proportions don't work for Phoenix's. His head just... looks too big.

Anyway, I'll try to use Von Karma's body, just for the heck of it.

EDIT: So I tried it. It worked... reasonably well. But the pixel-editing took me a ridiculously long time, so I don't know if changing it was worth it. Anyway, here it is.

Phoenix's head looks more natural now. And yes, the head fits rather well. Only... I keep thinking he's Italian because of his new, smexy mustache!

So, you might remember I once requested a sprite, to be drawn by Singi-Chan.
Well, I tried my hand at making a rough prototype, and this is the result:

Things to fix:
- The hair looks slightly off. I'll have to take a good, hard look at that again.
- The face just looks too much like Apollo. I'll have to edit his eyes and surrounding area.
- The lining on his right (left for him) sleeve doesn't look right. I'm going to fix that.

And in the meantime, I fixed some of the points above. And I made older sprites!

- Changed the skin tone to reflect mine.
- Changed the eye color.
- Changed the hair color at the front.

Not much to say about this, quite pleased.

And that's all for now. Maybe I'll do some poses tomorrow. Or I'll just revert back to Old Phoenix. Who knows?

I made that sketch same time when I made Cyrus Fortis' and Nova Kaine's so it's pretty old and that sketch is only a frontal pose not an actual emote. It looks more "friendly" than "cool" (I tried to get Apollo -vibe to it). I hope that's okay with you.

And remember just adding a moustache or a beard doesn't make a character old.
