My first attempt at making a sprite
I know it's pretty bad, even for a first try. But any tips on ways to improve it?

- I edited it a little bit - I changed his eyes and hair, and removed the bracelet.

Hmm, let me see.
The arm: The wrist needs to be straightened out.
The hair: Never use pure black for anything. Use a dark red or blue or violet for a substitute.
The body: Recolor all shades, such as turning 'A' into 'D', 'B' into 'E', and 'C' into 'F'.
It still looks too much like Apollo, but with some work, it could turn out great.
