K.C.'s fan made book cover

Post by kaden9596 »

The new movie The Hunger Games is coming out soon, and I'm so excited for its release. So I made my own fan made book cover of The Hunger Games. My favorite character of the book was Rue, so I drew her in anime form on the cover. (Yes, I know she's black.) It took me a few hours to make this, so I hope you guys like it. (I wanted to make it look artsy, so I'm aware of a few strange parts of her body. But its still really nice!)

-Soon I will release my first manga series to the public. ciao!

i don't know how you made a black girl into an emaciated Japanese chick.

but regardless. There's a lot of strange anatomy here. One of her legs is completely straight and has no knee or calf, and the other one seems to have a knee that's too far up. I have no idea how her legs are attaching under that weird piece of cloth. Her elbow is sticking so far out of her arm that it looks broken, especially with those super skinny arms. Her head is also just really creepy. I can't really gauge her mood, but I think it's somewhere between "coy" and "the vapid gaze of serial killer", and she has a head so wide it's oval. Definitely look up some reference materials, and keep practicing, when you make humans or anything really. I know it's tough, but keep at it.

Another thing is the medium you use. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing HB2 pencil on printer paper. You didn't even crop out the part where the paper ends and your scanner begins. Definitely put more effort into working your lines and the like - try pens, coloured pencils, or anything that suits your fancy.

As a side note, what's she sitting on? A plateau?
