@up
They are dramatic ;P
Anyway, my new OC!
John Carter, the victim of first case. He turned out slightly Gantish ;P
This time around when I was making palette I wasn't only picking colors that I used for original drawing, I also used photoshop's function to add colors that are in between of two others.

Just a question, how are you making these flashback screens?
I hadn't known there were so many idiots in the world until I started using the Internet.

Re: Art2002
I draw them in Manga Studio EX 4, then import them to photoshop and scale down.
It's same as with how I am making sprites minus setting color palette and little manual clean-up.

Re: Art2002
Okay, I fixed first picture a bit (I've made ladder a little narrower) and finished second sequence.

Huh, something about these scene images... They look great, don't get me wrong, but I couldn't imagine those ever appearing like that in a real AA game. I'm not sure why, maybe it's the style...? Ugh...
Little constructive criticism I can give is that you should work more on the first shot's perspective - while the second shot clearly places the stepladder behind the victim, the first shot looks way more like it is placed by his left side, not behind him.

No, perspective was measured for both pictures. The problem is with lack of visible overlap.

Re: Art2002
It's still the same to me... Uh, perhaps mercurialSK will be able to help, I don't know the first thing about perspective.

Still feels like falling on it, he'd cover no more than a half of it, but it is enough to give a picture of what's happening here.

I guess this is as good of a beacon as any XDNearavex wrote:It's still the same to me... Uh, perhaps mercurialSK will be able to help, I don't know the first thing about perspective.
Truthfully I actually hesitate to critique them since you're trying to get the fangame out before refining the graphics in it (which is a great thing). And like Nearavex says, they're enough to give an idea of what's happening. The overlap really does help. I'm really just reluctant since my critique is more of an overhaul than a fix though...
Skimming over the nitpicks I'd like to make, I think the main problem is the composition and the level of detail. I would like to recommend a video on visual simplification, and then two more for the main problems in the composition. Then if you're still not tired of watching videos, this one might also help with that scene in particular.
Closing note: these remind me of these scenes from Rise to the Ashes. Maybe you can use that camera angle as inspiration if you do overhaul them.Gamer2002 wrote:Spoiler : non spoileric crime visualization, full version :

Re: Art2002
Thanks for videos, I'll check them later on.
For now as long player can tell what is going on it is good enough.
Anyway, new stuff.
Well, Angela's poses is something I can try to fix before first case being published (since I still have to make few more and there is no point in making them with same mistakes), refining the graphics more than that is something I will do some other time ;Psince you're trying to get the fangame out before refining the graphics in it
