A cabin is found in the mountains. The doors were locked from the inside. The authorities force their way inside to find ten people dead inside. The deceased had plenty of food and water, so none of them died from cannibalism. Until the authorities arrived, no one else, including wild animals, had forced their way inside.

How did this tragedy occur?

Spongesonic, that blue truth is so ridiculous, I won't dignify it with its own red truth. :roll:

Most riddles contain some form of wordplay. This one is no exception.

Unless you count the aforementioned wordplay, this riddle is not a metaphor for anything.

The people described in the narrative are human beings.
