What is Roleplay Star Swap?
Basically, this thread allows you to see how well you can write someone else's RP character,
and how well they can write yours! First, you choose someone on the particpant list to swap
with. Once you have their approval, you agree on which RP characters to swap. Then both
of you have to write a scene using the other person's character. Again, this is not an RP.
Just a little writing exercise for fun. When you have both written your scenes, post them
in this thread for others to see.
Accuracy or New Spin?
Once you have found someone to swap with, you can choose Accuracy Mode or New Spin
Mode. If you pick Accuracy Mode you have to try replicating each other's characters. If you
pick New Spin Mode you have to write as each other's characters, but with your own unique
twist on them.
Guidelines
- Regarding Accuracy Mode...
Don't worry if the other person writes your character a little OOC. It's all part of the fun.
Just because someone else doesn't know how to write your character well, doesn't mean they
don't understand your character and it doesn't mean they're just being jerks. The other
participant probably won't be able to write your character perfectly; the only one who can do
that is you, so just have fun!
That said, please do not write a character completely OOC just for kicks. Try to write
the other character to the best of your ability.
- There is no word limit, just remember you are only writing one scene.
- Discussing the stories that come out of this is welcome, but if it gets too heated take it
to PMs. This probably won't happen, but just to be safe...
