RP: [ON/OFF]

Sentina lashed out at Kami's leg with the flat of her blade. Kami had to move fast, with all the weight behind the hit it could knock him to the ground easily. Kami pushed off the ground sending him out of the sword's reach. Kami could hear the city's guards heading towards the casino. He had to act fast.

"Arghhh!"

Kami threw himself towards Sentina. He lifted his katana and sliced for her throat. Kami wanted to finish Sentina off before the guards would tried to arrest him.

[Sami-Fire]

"H-Huh?"

Sasha was still in the process of cowering from the chaos around her. Her handwriting had become absolutely unreadable, so she'd given up on trying to record the actions of the fight. She stared up at the man before her with some trepidation. "Um... I-I'm okay. Just hiding. I'd just get out and run, but it's not safe to do that." She paused. "Who are you?"

[Drey Wilkins]

Taking an opportune moment, Cayle reached out with a spell and toppled one of the combatents, before sliding under the table.

"I'm Cayle." He gave her a quik smile. "And this is crazy."

[DLA]

Jack walked around some more, snatching a few small coin bags. He then saw someone else hiding under a table. He walked over. "Hey, what's your name?" he asked.

Antoinette - Casino

Annie was shocked by what happened, but instinctively, she raised her sword. She managed to successfully block Kami's attack... maybe she could force him back now? But something was wrong. Her life could have been ended now. It reminded her that her opponent was still more willing to kill than she was. So, she decided to ask a question. Perhaps it was strange of her, but she needed to know the answer.

"I ask of you... why do you take other people's lives? What purpose does it serve you? How can you live with yourself? To end someone's life so early... I can't understand it." Annie asked. As she said this, she still kept her broadsword clashed against Kami's blade, still struggling.

Kami's sword clashed against Sentina's sword. He pushed against it but struggled to fight her weight. He could hear the guards rushing towards the casino. Kami hadn't little time to spare.

"I ask of you... why do you take other people's lives? What purpose does it serve you? How can you live with yourself? To end someone's life so early... I can't understand it."

Kami let out a breath of air, pushing away from the struggle. He stood close to Sentina but did not take this chance to attack. Kami would answer her question before he took her life.

"Conflict is the natural order. I only live to find someone... better than me or..." Kami broke away from that path in his life and began to talk about something else. "I was bred to fight people like you. Today I will take on this... King's quest, I hope to find someone worthy to fight on my journey. There is more to tell but..." Kami watched the door expecting guards at any moment. "We have no time. Your journey must end here."

Kami released his hair tie, letting his hair fall down over his shoulders. He looked over his shoulder towards the door, expecting the guards. They must've been held up by rioters taking the fight to the outside. Kami threw his hair tie into Sentina's face and sliced for her legs.

Changed, the guards are no longer in the casino.

Jack walked around some more, snatching a few small coin bags. He then saw someone else hiding under a table. He walked over. "Hey, what's your name?" he asked.

Okay, so while I wait for Sami-Fire's character to respond, I'll just have Cayle acknowledge Mr. Awkward Insertion.

Cayle - Casino:

Cayle turned to look at the newcomer.
"What are you doing? Can't you see this place is dangerous? Get down!"

Jack- Casino
Jack got down underneath the table, following the man's advice. "Now then, that's taken care of. What's your nane again?"

"Cayle." Cayle creased his eyebrows. This man seemed strange and odd.

Antoinette - Casino

With a surprising amount of speed considering the amount of armor she had on her, Annie actually managed to dodge Kami's attack by stepping backwards. But there was something different about her now. The expression on her face... she seemed disgusted. Extremely different from the focused and determined expression that she had before. She sheathed her broadsword. It took her a while to come up with something to say, but eventually, she did.

"Enough. I generally try to avoid insulting the beliefs of other people, but... what you just said can't be right. I won't allow myself to be a part of that corrupt path you've chosen. You win this duel. I can only hope you're satisfied. I should kill you, but... I find that I can't." Annie simply said.

Surprisingly Sentina dodged Kami's attack. He could see that she had a natural skill at the art of fighting. Kami hadn't seen someone like her in a couple of months and was keen for a challenge. As Sentina sheathed her broadsword Kami's hopes dropped.

"Enough. I generally try to avoid insulting the beliefs of other people, but... what you just said can't be right. I won't allow myself to be a part of that corrupt path you've chosen. You win this duel. I can only hope you're satisfied. I should kill you, but... I find that I can't." Sentina said.

Kami kept his katana in hand, not yet letting Sentina give up.

"I do not care what you think of my beliefs. Now let's finish this, Hero." Kami said.

[Sami-Fire]

"Tell me about it," Sasha mumbled hastily, curling up a bit. "I'd have tried to get out, but... it's not safe. You've got people fighting all over the place. I'd get my head chopped off before I was even halfway to the door."

Cayle - Casino:

"Yeah." Cayle muttered. "I'm running out of Magic."

Raven - Marketplace:

Such a glorious day, it was, for me to at long last, set out on adventure!

...Is what I thought that morning, when I first woke up. But I quickly found, shortly after entering the port city of Vito, that it would not be as simple as that.

"What on earth!?" I cried, the price tag trembling in my hands, "Th-that old thing was worth...!?"

"Five thousand gil, yes," The shop-owner replied with a scowl, his arms crossed angrily.

I began to sweat; What kind of way was this to begin an adventure? Oh, Father would be SO ashamed!

"F-forgive me, sir," I said, taking a deep bow, "B-but I'm afraid I don't have even a fraction of that amount... But, if you give me a chance, I swear to repay this wrongdoing with my own two hands."

But the shop-owner merely shook his head. "Sorry, but that isn't going to cut it... But that just might."

I followed his gaze to my side, where Violet Heart's hilt stuck out from my jacket. Realizing the implication, I quickly pulled my jacket over the blade and began to sweat profusely.

"S-sorry, but..." I began to say, but the shop-owner nailed me with his glare.

"Are you saying you won't pay?" He asked, snapping his fingers. Several rather burly men suddenly flocked to his side, cracking their knuckles and flashing knives.

And so, I found myself in need of money. And because no other shop seemed willing to take a swordsman, it seemed like the only course of action left was...

"The Casino," I groaned. I didn't particularly care for that house of treachery, but I was out of options... With a heavy sigh and a prayer to my Father, I slowly entered the room...

And suddenly found the place a mess, with warriors pointing swords, men on the ground... The scene was absolutely chaotic, and I found myself quite unsure of what to do.

"Uh... E-excuse me...?" I asked, looking around, unsure of what to do or say.

Raen - Casino

Raen was edging silently towards the exit. It seemed Andreus was safe--the girl had managed to fix him up properly after all. There was nothing left for him to do here. The fighting had converged towards the inside of the casino, most violent at its center. Here and there on his way out Raen stepped over the bodies of unconscious henchmen, who, all in all, looked like they had been spared of the worst of the battle. He had nearly reached the door--his brain just registered that it was ajar--when a young man stepped in, the confused look when you are uncertain whether you are at the right place or if the sign outside had lied to you etched on his face.

"Uh... E-excuse me...?" He turned his head just as a thick wooden leg torn off of a gambling table flew across the room, the rest of the table following shortly after.

"Hey," Raen said, looking the newcomer up and down incredulously. He noted the hair and the eyes--they were in Vito (kind of hard to remember with the sound of wood smashing and gurgling war cries as background music), so he'd assume he was a traveler, but his voice from those few words spoken, as far as Raen could tell, betrayed no accent and held nothing foreign in it.

Oh well. If the stranger decided to join in in a spurt of random violence and cut his head off with that fancy sword of his, at least Raen's knife would reach his throat first. Probably.
