The three Galactic Alliance ships, The Avenger, The Illusion and The Seahorse drifted into the Million Dollar's docking bay. After arrival on Stratos II, multiple GA naval officers had caught an exotic virus which wasn't covered in standard GA vaccinations. Over the past 48 hours the officers infected were being held within The Avenger's quarantine cells, the Million Dollars had been alerted and medics waited for there arrival. The rest of Lance Silver's group had been escorted to the nearest Stratos II colony to await evacuation. Unfortunately Alachon and his group of worshipers had evaded the grasps of the GA, though now the GA was in possession of the only known means of opening the Catalyst. And those who worship the Celestial One would surely be back.

Trio of ships docked, side by side, in one of the many Million Dollar's docking bays. Engineers hurried back and fourth, refueling and repairing incoming ships. Each ship had its own docking pad, and each docking pad had it's own terminals. Guarding those were several armed soldiers, nothing came in or out without permission. Luckily ACORD had already informed the Million Dollars in advance, though the ship captains wouldn't keep that luck for long. Waiting at each docking pad were high ranking GA officers, ready to escort the captains to a meeting with one of the GA generals. As the landing doors opening, Medics rushed in to secure the infected. Groups of Engineers rushed to connect the fueling pipes. A handful of staff began to restock the ship's food, water and batteries along with a few other things.

"Captain's, please meet with the officers awaiting you outside. All remaining on-board naval personnel, remain within the ships confines and keep your distance with all GA staff." ACORD said over the intercoms.

Also I'm gonna write the name of the ship I'm a part of at the top of every post. I still think that was a good idea because everyone got real confused last time we played this RP.

The Seahorse

The Tactical Weaponry Station sure was getting a bit of attention that day.
One of Clint's Perils spun wildly upon the edge of his index finger before clanging to the cold floor for the umpteenth time that day. What a mess. Just one mission and already the Seahorse had lost three specialists to sickness and a couple men in the lower ranks, too. Losing another engineer was no big deal - they had more than enough of those hanging around the ship - but the medic? On second thought, that seemed more than a little ironic. Clint cracked a smile. It was pretty amusing, in a decidedly twisted kind of way. At least they weren't dead. A lot worse could happen during a trip to Stratos II - he'd heard the stories. However, Clint got the feeling his crew would have to go a mission or two without their poor, sick comrades. After all, why were they restricted to the confines of this ship? Either they had another job to do, or they were in trouble. Clint didn't really mind either way. He'd earned his share of brownie points when he valiantly saved the captain from a potentially deadly sound wave. Perhaps it was the captain himself that ought to be worrying. Or, rather, the captains. The GA clearly wanted them for something, and it clearly wasn't something they were comfortable with sending via ACORD. An exciting, top-secret mission? Or a professional scolding? Only time would tell.

As a few GA employees left the room, Clint took a quick glance at old Kerenth. He grinned.
"So... Guess that wasn't in the mission brief."

The Avenger

"I'm so sorry, guys. It's all my fault," Christian uncomfortably leaned his chin against the back of the captain's chair, his head looming over the seat. He made no effort to keep his body from taking up a good chunk of the room, as he usually was careful to avoid. Instead, he remained sprawled out on the ground. It was with great restraint he kept the weight of his head from breaking the chair. "We're a crew... and yet... we could not all fight in perfect unison... one cog in the machine was faulty, that cog was me. Of all the billions of stars in the universe, it is only me who dwindles and kept us from capturing those... those vile people..."

Christian's eyes were misty, he was staring off into nothing. In truth, he wasn't even sure anyone was still in the room with him. The final moments of the mission were still a blur to him. Truthfully, it wasn't his kind of mission. He didn't really care about the other two crews, not when he had his own crew members to focus on. What he lamented most of all was that he had ended up unsatisfied with how much he had been able to bond with his friends through the mission.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Greggs."

Eleanor Arania stood leaning against the wall with her arms crossed and an upset look on her face. "None of the crews could complete the objective. Nobody in particular failed. It all just ended up falling apart in the end."

Eleanor did her best to comfort Christian, but she wasn't in the best mood for it. During the mission, she was forced to escape the enemies' ship before she and that other soldier could complete the goal. If she had just one more minute or so, she could have captured the Catalyst or attack the enemies. If anybdy failed, it was her. And her face did a poor job of hiding that, as her big eyes stared angrily towards the ground.

"It's best that we forget this mission for now," she said. "Fate wasn't in favor of us today, and half of the crews had to be taken out for ailments. We'll just have to accept that and move on with the next mission."

Eleanor did have to wonder what this next mission would actually be. After the virus spread, she doubted they'd be landing on her home planet again any time soon. And it would probably be unwise to send all three crews out on one mission again. So the big question was, what's next?

"Remember this. It is the bitter taste of failure. We must remember it, for it teaches lessons as well. Next time, we will do our best to ensure that the mission goes as well as possible. It doesn't matter how many enemies need to be cut down. Their blood will spill like wine." Agnes simply said, her back against a wall. She did her best to keep up a stoic expression, but if one looked hard enough, they could see a trace of frustration in her eyes. Why was she reacting this way? Although she usually successfully completed her assignments, it wasn't like she had never known defeat before. She knew that defeat was natural, and from it, one could strengthen themselves if they didn't die.

But that day had been her last mission. Well, that was misleading. It had been her last mission as a mercenary. Now, she was a soldier. She had officially joined up after that mission... After all, this was a good way to gain more battle experience. Being a mercenary certainly had some advantages over being a soldier, but the fact was that she felt like somehow, joining now would get her into tougher fights. Admittedly, Agnes was basically going with her gut instinct. Oh well. This could be interesting. Though being a soldier could take some getting used to. Her armor was slightly different now. It had an insignia that had marked her as a mercenary before... Now, that insignia had been replaced, since she wasn't a mercenary anymore.

"Don't let depression overtake you. If you do that, then you'll waste your time wallowing in self-pity, rather than improving yourself." Agnes said, to everyone in the general vicinity.

Kerenth stood in the weapon station across from Clint, listening to ACORD.

"So... Guess that wasn't in the mission brief." Clint said, waking Kerenth from his thoughts.

He turned to Clint, not exactly sure about what he said. Though something else caught his attention. Behind Clint, on his work bench sat multiple weapons, some had been striped down to the bare frame, others looked as if Clint had gotten any old house hold item and strapped it to a gun. Two things Kerenth could point out, one, the guns didn't look safe, two, neither did his work space.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you." He said walking around the center desk to Clint's workspace on the right side of the room. "Whats all of this stuff?"

It seemed Clint's jab had gone unnoticed, but his face almost instantly lit up at the mention of his own creations. Unfortunately, it didn't take a genius to figure this might not end well.
"Those," he began, gesturing to the workbench he slaved at so, "are the future in Seahorse weaponry."
The old man didn't seem particularly impressed. Clint turned back to Kerenth, his gaze somehow finding its way to the cold floor. "Or... at least they will be, once I'm actually allowed to take 'em into battle."
It wasn't long before a cheeky grin returned to the man's face. "... Not to say that ever actually stops me from doing so, but in any case it'd be nice to get some recognition. Hey, you're my fellow engineer now. Feel free to poke around. Just... don't touch that one."

[Enthalpy]

Erestru-ven was quite literally twiddling his thumbs in his room aboard the Illusion. It wasn't out of boredom; it merely provided something for his body to do while his mind was elsewhere. If there was one thing that growing up in the dynamic jungle had taught him, it was the value of adaptability and learning. The mission had been decidedly less than a success, and the question of why was plaguing his mind.

From the top... I got the impression that the Xylo and the captain didn't get along well, but did that affect the mission... No, no... Was I doing anything wrong, prep-wise... I could've got my orders a bit sooner, but not really. When the Shadow Mongers advanced... Well, there was some sort of equipment failure. Not my department. But I was too slow in activating that machine gun. If I had only struck before they started forming ranks, we might not have been as injured... Getting out of the APC unsupported on the second attack also wasn't a good idea. And that captain of the Seahorse needs to learn that grenades are dangerous!

Having successfully analyzed the situation to his liking, he stopped his train of thought. Now it was just a waiting game.
