The AAO D&D Experience

Post by King Pie »

D&D is Dungeons and Dragons
It's happening whoever wants to play can join I however am a new Dungeon Master so I'd like around 4-6 people to play I f you aren't familiar with the rules, We'll be using 3.5 edition which can be found here http://www.d20srd.org/. Please read the basics, classes, feats and combat section. And for hopeful wizards please be a Sorcerer it's much less bookkeeping on my part. Stat generation will be four six sided dice best three or I could just make your character.
EDIT: Hit Dice are always maxed, and Half-Elves get a bonus feat(House-rule)
Members (Subject to change)
Blackrune:Lercan Willhut, Human Ranger
Guardian Dreamer:Thea, Human Bard
Coolio: Zar, Halfling Rogue
ShadowSleuth:Ezra Fidora, Human Paladin of Unas

EDIT: The most members I could handle is six so whoever gets their sheets in first will be a player

Heh, I always wanted to play one of those. The idea that pretty much everything you do has a defined chance of failure fascinates me. xP
I could probably create my character and just try this if you tell me what is needed. Only stats? Stats and skills/feats? Start equipment?

I suppose I could try this as well... But I have no clue what I'm supposed to do. Is there an application I'm meant to fill out? Never played D&D, so I will likely seem very confused.

Wait, are we playing on AAO, or on that forum you linked somehow? Forgive me, I am currently reading what you recommended to read, but I am still rather confused. If we're playing on AAO, then it would probably help to say what it is that we need to provide in an "application".

We are playing here we will just use Myth-weavers as a sheet generator.Okay then for an Application, just state that you would like to play and what you like to play e.g. Halfling Barbarian, Elven Sorcerer.

Ah, now I see where the Sheets are. I somehow missed the rather obvious place that said "Sheets", though you do have to register in order to use that function. Well, this seems complicated. I guess as soon as I figure this out, I'll make an attempt at an application.

I am very much interested in this I wanted to start one but not sure if I'd have time to DM. I'd have time to play though. I've played D&D for a few years so I'm decently familiar with the rules and such. Here's my app... BAM. Used from a different campaign on a different site. Just tell me if it's ok.

Fine... I'll change it :( . Half drow's are so cool though. Is it cause it will be easier to keep track of bonuses and such I'm guessing?

No It's because I'm new to DMing and I'm trying to keep it simple without a LA or RHD and it would seem your character has an ECL of four and we are Level 1.

Okay, currently making my character sheet using the resource you provided... Just to make sure, we don't need to fill out the stats yet, right? That's the most confusing part.
