This being is not of our world, and thus the tears actually fuel the flames. It shoots a mini fireball at you and kills you.

I assume this is the same Demise from Skyward Sword, so I pick up the Master Sword and slash at him.

If it's soaked in the "tears of destruction", that must mean destruction is an entity. And since destruction is not an entity, the flaming ball cannot be soaked in its "tears". However, there is a possibility - the tears are figurative, not literal. And, by extension...
