I was screwing around yesterday and came up with this:

Welcome to Rokkenjima - and welcome to a special game created by Beatrice the Golden and her Band of Witches. Bernkastel and Lambdadelta have joined her to oversee this event, incuding the Ushiromiya family and their servants. This game has some special mechanics. Remember that mass PM...?

Whenever I say something in purple, you should take it to be the absolute truth as well - but beware, the mafia can use it to lie as well! And only the mafia! You may use the purple truth as well in your mafia playing...

The blue truth works a bit differently than the red and purple truths. The blue truth is a theory used to counteract the mafia, and you may freely use it as well as the others. When a blue truth is directed at someone, they must respond with a purple truth, or the game will not be fair!

The gold truth is also used to state the absolute truth - but this time, only the GM can use it! I'm simply using it here to state what it does, so from now on, only GMs can use the gold truth. They can use it to answer questions, comments, etc. about the game.

More special mechanics will be directed below:

The Twilights

Throughout the game, the twilights wil occur according to the Witch's Epitaph (LOOK IT UP). Periodically, a message will pop up that says "X is dead". No players will die from this, but their ROLE will die, effectively turning them into a vanilla townie. This applies to the witches as well!

Town Roles

Battler Ushiromiya - The Incompetent Detective
Battler Ushiromiya has the power to receive reports as to who is in the mafia! Unluckily for him, the reports are completely random. There is a 2 in 3 chance that he will get a report at all, and even then, it has a 1 in 2 chance to show only the afflitation of the player - instead of their role.

Nanjo - The Doctor of Doom
Nobody is truly dead in this game unless the gold truth says that they are. Nanjo can either A) Protect a person at night from death or B) Investigate a player at night to see if they are dead or not. If his reports come up "not", the player will be made public to the town and will be "revived".

Maria - Innocence Personified
Confused by what is going on, Maria has the power to create a blue truth every day that will be posted in thread by the GM. This blue truth will be responded to by a red truth, which is the absolute truth (even the mafia can't lie while using it!) - however, the blue truth must be directed to a certain player who MUST respond!

Kanon - The Shady Butler
Kanon can decaptitate someone for a day phase. This means that they can only speak in "gibberish" - you'll find out for yourself what the riddles I tell them to post mean. This role is created to add to the mystery Umineko brings.

Rosa - Lioness
Kyrie has a passive power instead of an activated one. She is always protecting either Battler or Maria, and will take all punishments for them when they are targeted at night. She will be shown as either Battler or Maria, whichever one she was protecting, upon death.

Kumasawa - Mackerel, Anyone?
Kumasawa is ALWAYS suspicious. In fact, whenver she is investigated at night, she will turn up as a random mafia role! Kumasawa can try to refute these claims, but she knows, in her heart, that she is scummy. In this turn of events, she appears as a vanilla mafia and will always turn up vanilla mafia upon death.

Mafia Roles

Beatrice, Endless Witch of the Golden
Beatrice is the godmother of the mafia. She is deeply afflitated with Kinzo and will know who he is from her Role PM. She, being a witch, can use her magic to cast a spell on someone - this spell will force the recipient's vote to remain on one person throughout the rest of the game! The spell can only be cast once, and the casted upon will not know that they have been casted upon.

Bernkastel, Witch of Miracles
Bernkastel is the most powerful witch in the universe - but that doesn't shake the fact that she's Trolly AS ALL HELL. This means she will reverse the outcome of a certain person's rolepower once per night. Example: If Battler had investigated a nilla town, and Bern chooses him, he will get a nilla mafia report.

Lambdadelta, Witch of Certanity
Lambdadelta, ooh Lambdadelta. She can make sure the person who the mafia kill at night STAYS dead. In fact, they can't even post in the dead thread or do anything related with the game for the remainder of the game! They are essentially a misinformed onlooker, doomed to spectate FOREVER! MWAHAHA!
