Crazy Normal: Current Arc: Student Council Arc

Post by Ami »

Okay, so welcome to Crazy Normal, a Slice of Life RP that's about high school but over-the-top storylines and students. Think... Nichijou/bros, Haruhi, X-men, Yotsuba, and every other over-the-top thing involving high school peoples all mish-mashed together and slightly exaggerated. Remember to read the bottom of the post for the current story arc!

SETTING:
Welcome to Shelvington Academy, close to the luxurious city Calipers, capital of Calipan. The ultimate in blended cultures, it has become its own unique culture containing much of what any culture is- but without being distinctly one thing or another. It all takes place in the not-too-distant future, but distant enough so that random technological advances can be hand-waived. The coastal city of Calipers is known for its warm, inviting ports, and several public beaches- and a few private ones. There's a nearby mountain, the base of which is the very forest Shelvington is located in.

Shelvington is the top academy in the world, known for its exclusivity, its extreme activities, and its lush, beautiful campus. Like any boarding school, students are allocated to the dorm for sleeping arrangements- but are given free range as long as school work is done. To counter-balance this, however, all school functions became compulsory. Otherwise, moving about the campus, town, and surrounding area is okay.

There is one dorm, and that is the unisex Plank Dormitory, where all kids are roomed, with a five-star school cafeteria within. The main school building contains several classrooms, the Headmistress's office, and the bell-tower which resounds proudly with Westminster every hour on the hour. There are several other amenities, all of which tend to be created for specific instances, and deconstructed just as quickly. Shelvington alumni that work at the school are very dedicated and well-paid.

Oh, and did I mention extreme activities? Shelvington is rather infamous for this as well, as it doesn't do anything half-way. Beach vacation? Private beach wherein genetically altered crabs are hunting students as they play scavenger hunt to gain rights to use the nice resort bedrooms instead of the nearby shack. Said beach would have watermelon pinatas... that are guarded by mechanical land sharks. Sports fest? Try ULTIMATE DANGER SPORTS FEST where obstacle courses stretch for miles of deadly obstacles of lava, of ice, of metal and rocks! When stopped for questioning, the first Headmaster was quoted as saying "We may be throwing strange dangers at these kids, but the ones who come out alive, not crippled, not emotionally scarred, and pass exams come out proud!" Want to study astronomy? LET'S GO TO THE ORBITING SPACE STATION TO LOOK AT THE STARS!

STORY ARCS:
In this RP, every story arc will be given for a specific purpose- to drive the stories of the characters towards goals so we're not all just sitting about developing romances on and off like some sort of soap opera (though that's not to say characters can't have them). The first arc will be an introductory "back to school" arc wherein characters can get to know one another. From then on, we'll take normal aspects of school life, and take them that one step further. Ice sports? Ice sports in a giant, refrigerated space where polar bears play hockey with nunchaku. You get the idea. After each arc ends, a vote will be put made of suggestions from all participants, and whichever one wins after a set amount of time will be the new arc I'll write.

All story arcs are started off by me (or another GM if there is one), but will mostly be dictated with the players. I (or other GM's) will add elements as necessary to keep it interesting and/or strange. There really isn't a lot that is off-limits here, so just help build this world, keep it consistent, and remember to follow RP rules. The major part here is consistency. If something is permanent, like the dorms, they pretty much stay there. If all goes well, there'll be a map of the school and such, but that'll come later.

RULES:
1.) 3 Character limit to all non-GM players (GM's limited to one teacher in addition to students. The Headmistress doesn't count towards the total)
2.) Follow general RP rules, like no godmodding, self-inserts, sues, etc. Go read them if you haven't already.
3.) Player characters won't die, get expelled, or graduate unless it's okay'd by myself personally. This is a slice of life, so character development is key, not death.
4.) Keep it PG-13. If your characters start making out, second base is the limit that will not be exceeded. Less if Unas intervenes.
5.) All major events are mandatory. So no visiting the city unless specifically allowed to during, say, a culture festival or something.

Personality: Because I forgot to put this here in the OP, though current apps cover it.

CHARACTERS:
Students:
Spoiler : Sleuth's Students :
Character Name: Devin Duvile

Character Race: Completely Normal Human (CNH for short)

Character Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: A young, lanky girl standing at about 5'9", with raven black hair, parted in the center of her head, falling straight down to about shoulder length. As she doesn't bother to take care of it, it is frequently unkempt and frazzled. Her eyes are typically ragged and bloodshot, with dark blue irises. Her teeth are slightly jagged to the point of looking like fangs, and she wears a constant expression of disgust and boredom. Due to her condition, she rarely bothers to keep up appearances, often favoring comfortable clothes like sweatpants and sleeveless shirts, but will wear the uniform if caught/pestered by others that can see her.

Her "distorted" form (see Abilities) can many forms, but her most common form is a foreboding, tall figure, hunched over, with two blistering white orbs that glow; these are the figure's "eyes" and are visible even in the darkness. Its form is typically covered in a large black shroud, its face obscured by a wide-brimmed hat. The figure has been noted to appear similar to a huge, hulking scarecrow which stands two heads taller than Devin herself, with large, deformed hands and legs. This form is often referred to as "The Scarecrow" or "Devin 2". The figure mimics everything Devin does, and its form alters to fit the realm of physically possible. More-so than her other projections, Devin is able to somewhat control this projection, as if she is threatened or endangered, the illusory figure will grow and develop more eyes and larger limbs in an attempt to intimidate the attacker.

Character Bio: Devin is a cynical young girl with a rather apathetic outlook on life. She is rather lazy and laid-back, content to float through school and not quite batting an eye at most of the insanity that comes with the territory. Much of her disposition has to do with a bizarre anomaly surrounding her: a strange force that causes all other living beings around her to perceive her as a horrific monster, instilling either fear or hatred in them. This "curse" of hers has shut her off from most people, since they can only see the literal worst of her, and the cries of "freak" and "monster" stopped pestering her long ago. She's content to enjoy life as much as possible in spite of her anomaly, and seems to have her sights set on becoming an artist, so she can let people see her "true self".

Character Abilities: Devin has the innate ability to unconsciously project herself as terrifying beast towards any and all sentient life surrounding her (excluding robots, cameras, and other such "non-living" entities). The exact form varies depending on the observer, but the form is very often indescribable to the viewer and completely obscures Devin's true form. She has no control over this power, and is unable to shut it off or control her appearance at will. The illusion, however, can be broken through physical contact; if an afflicted being makes contact with Devin, the illusion will be broken, and they will perceive Devin as she is, until the contact is broken. Devin herself is aware of this, but prefers not to have her entire class glomp her just to fit in. Due to her ability, she typically is able to dress as she pleases, at least until 4th Period with Mr. Calculatron. Observation through indirect means, such as in a reflection or in a camera lens, do not capture the perceived image, so she is seen normally in photographs and mirrors. Devin herself is unable to see her own distortions.

Other Information: Prior to her enrollment in Shelvington Academy, she lived in a small village located in Merry Meadow Woods with her parents, two doting mad scientists who may or may not have had something to do with her condition.
Spoiler : Got's Students :
Character Name: Nina Valentine

Character Race: Sort of a cyborg

Character Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: Image
These are her casual clothes. Also, her hands are gray and not white.

Character Bio: Nina was born into a rather wealthy family, living a high class lifestyle with all the luxuries a girl could dream of. However, Nina wasn't really into the prim and proper stuff. She was more of a tomboy than her parents would have wanted, playing video games all day and refusing to wear dresses or grow he hair out. She just never understood why her parents liked that stuff. Even though she wasn't exactly the daughter they wanted, the Valentines still spoiled their daughter.

When Nina was ten, the Valentines had a bad accident when their limo was crashed into b a truck. The parents and driver got out safely, but Nina was extremely injured and was hospitalized immediately. Unfortunately, her hands were crushed and crippled, rendered useless by the crushing impact of broken metal. The Valentines spared no expenses for her treatment, and by the time Nina awoke from surgery, her hands were replaced with new, metal, robotic ones.

As frightened as she was at first, she grew to get used to these new hands. They made her a lot stronger (perhaps TOO strong), and they were much more resilient than normal hands. However, people were put off by them, and her friends began to slowly drift away from her.

When Nina heard about Shelvington Academy, she begged her parents to send her. She thought the idea of such a crazy place sounded awesome, and maybe she'd find some new friends that might not be as weirded out by her unfortunate situation. Her parents were skeptical, considering the rumors about the insane school, but gave in and decided to allow Nina to attend. Nina is beginning her first semester at the Academy now.

Character Abilities: Nina has metal, robotic hands from her car accident back in her youth. These hands are incredibly strong, giving her the strongest grip in all of of Calipan and quite the throwing distance (as well as some broken game controllers, too). They're also very resilient, and she doesn't feel any pain through them. Nina's also a rather bright girl with some skill in karate (she took it up for self defense, but her sparring partners were always scared of her after day 1) and is a master at video games.

Other Information: Her favorite food is cake, she sucks at math, and she has the world's most terrifying handshake.

Character Name: Isaac Carter

Character Race: Human

Character Age: 17

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: Image
This is his casual appearance. I didn't have a tablet available and the normal creator didn't fit him, so I made him with a Pokemon character creator. Ignore the Pokeball, please.

Character Bio: Isaac, by normal person standards, might be considered slightly impressive. He seems to have many mystical inhuman abilities that no other normal human being could do. When you really look at his abilites, however, he's...meh. That essentially sums up Isaac's life. He has a dozen unimportant, pointless powers that he's had since birth, but they're all so useless that nobody really cares. His parents told him he was special growing up, but he never really felt like it. Nobody really knows why he has these powers, but they're so unconsequentia; that nobody has ever really bothered to check.

Isaac's a scrawny boy, standing at 5 foot 3 and being rather thin (people tend to msitake him for 14 or 15 rather than 17). He's a nerdy kid, and is at the top of several of his classes. He enjoys reading and playing games a lot, though he doesn't usually have many people to play games with.

Isaac had made it his mision to stand out more when he starts his term at Shelvington Academy. He wants to not only make some friends who don't see him as "meh". but he wants to show people that he can be actually useful or even cool. He's determined to become somewhat decently popular maybe this year.

Character Abilities: Isaac has many powers, none of which are particularly useful in the long run. Amongst his mediocre arsenal is the ability to speak with small birds, the ability to have two seconds of foresight, the ability to have two different eye colors, the ability to not get hot in the summer, the ability to be a natural master at any instrument small enough to fit in a breadbox, the ability to read books at 2.5 times faster than most, and the ability to wiggle his ears. These powers are so unimpressive that most people prefer to completely write them off. He doesn't know if he has any practical powers yet, He is smart, however, and while he's ver unathletic, he's an expert in school activities and is a great brain to have around.

Other Information: He has a bird name Chirpenstein III that he likes to talk to when he's lonely, and has a massive fear of heights (he refuses to take the top bunk bed even).
Spoiler : DLA's students :
Character Name: Amelia "Amy" Drake

Character Race: Human

Character Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: She's about 5'7, and has straight, black hair about waist length and blue eyes. When not wearing the uniform, she'll wear jeans and hoodies and occasionally a hat.

Character Bio: Amy is a friendly girl and has a flair for the dramatic. She got this from her father, who was a professional magician. One day, her father brought home a magic box that contained the ghost of a dead magician. The ghost possessed her for a short while, giving her actual magic powers, in a sense. She likes to make a dramatic entrance, no matter where, resulting her being banned from several libraries and supermarkets. Her mother, having a very hard time finding a school she wouldn't get kicked out of, sent her to Shelvington because of the stories she'd heard. Amy was fine with the idea and was excited to go to such a place.

Character Abilities: She has magical powers. By that I mean like stage magic. She can teleport herself and disappear in a puff of smoke, and can conjure various objects. She can also occasionally levitate the stuff.

Other Information: She has a rabbit named Frederick, after her cousin, who she got along well with until he left the country for some reason. She's pretty good at mathematics, and loves pizza.
Spoiler : Gombarry's Students :
Character Name: Agito Morita

Race: Totally normal human

Age: 17

Student/Teacher: Student

Appearance:

Physical appearance: He's pretty tall for his age, being about 6'2". Also sporting green eyes, spikey combed back hair, a sharp chin, and a charming smile. He's pretty darn handsome.

Clothes: After school and on weekends he usually wears ripped blue jeans with white undershirt and plaid button up shirt, with sleeves rolled up and shirt half way buttoned up. He sometimes wears a paint stained apron for his art. He also wears grey sweatpants and a white A-shirt while practicing his various martial arts styles. He also likes to keep the bow tie on his uniform untied because its "cool" (AKA he doesn't know how to tie a bow tie.)

Bio: Agito is a transfer student from the Saitama prefecture of Japan. He was getting tired of doing the same old thing over and over each day and he thought that Shelvington
might be a nice change of pace.
(Sorry for short bio, the rest of the story is key for character development and will be revealed as the RP continues.)

Personality ( ill put this here even though there isn't one on the app):

Agito, although unintentional, is a absolute 100% authenticated Playboy. For some reason, perhaps because of his killer looks, every girl who's ever seen him has a crush on him. Though he doesn't really seem to notice, even though he gets letters of confessions of love from various girls each day. How he's this oblivious, nobody knows, but girls will try regardless. Because of this though, its common that he will get randomly attacked by said girls boyfriends out of nowhere.

He's also very rambunctious, rarely speaking at inside voice level. He gets pumped for almost anything, even unimportant things like when it's his turn to take out the trash. But whenever he gets pumped everyone around him seems to follow his example.

Many also consider him to be very idealistic. Wanting nothing more than peace in the world and to be able to express one self. Because of this he tends to be lazy in anything he isn't interested in. So he tends to have bad grades in everything except Language arts, Art, and Music class.

He's also a very talented individual. Being skilled in just about everything he does, even with stuff he's never tried. He's an artist, musician, and master martial artist in many fields. Mostly in Judo, Karate, Muay Thai, and Akido.

Abilities:
Doesn't really have anything to talk about except that he can do the Kamehameha. (You said Goku, Ami. You asked for it.) However, he can only perform it if he's really pissed. And even so he'll pass out afterwards and go into a 3 day coma.

Other info: to add to his already bigger than life character, he is besties with Slenderman. I'll explain later.
Spoiler : Mr Awesome's students :
Character Name: Tom Pocs

Character Race: Human, but not a normal one.

Character Age: 17

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: A bit scrawny, somewhat pale-skinned, has shaggy hair, and wears glasses. Outside from wearing his uniform, he wears a short-sleeve shirt and sweats combo of varying colors.

Personality: Is a tad shy, overconfident (in the degree that he's cocky), and has a quick wit.

Character Bio: Lived in an orphanage, due to his parents "disappearing" one night when he has 8 (saving the details because he finds out just what happened to them while at the Academy). As he grew up, he drove the orphanage owner crazy, due to his nature. And when he got old enough, the owner of the orphanage managed to send him off to Shelvington Academy, which he thought would be for Tom's good. This is his first semester at the Academy.

Character Abilities: He's an excellent thinker, getting straight As (most of the time). He also has superhuman abilities, like enhanced speed, agility, and strength, but these do have limits(He can run at 35 mph, and can only lift 500 pounds. As for his agility, I have no idea how to put a limit on that other than he isn't all that flexible). Other than this, he is a master gamer, both with a controller, and a deck of cards. Some stranger abilities he has is to heal 3 times as fast as a normal human being, and can tell what someone is feeling.

Other Information: I didn't know where to put this, but he stands up for other kids who are being bullied.
Spoiler : GuardianDreamer's students :
Character Name: Paola Cesarini.

Character Race: Human.

Character Age: 17.

Student/Teacher: Student.

Character Appearance: Paola has a somewhat petite build, being slightly shorter than average, but not to an extent where it's too noticeable. Her purple hair is more or less a Hime Cut, a hair style where the hair is worn long, except for perfectly level bangs just above the eyelids, and with sidelocks at around cheek level. She's slightly pale, though less pale than she was in the past. She has purple eyes, though her eyes are a darker shade of purple than her hair is. For some odd reason, she carries around a monocle and sometimes wears it on her left eye, even though her left eye is completely fine. It's more or less a fifty-fifty chance whether or not she happens to be wearing it on any day you encounter her. Presumably she wears it just because monocles look good.

The average person would think that Paola wears the exact same outfit almost every day, but in truth, she does change her outfit. She apparently just has multiple copies of the exact same outfit for reasons known only to her. The outfit itself is more or less an exact replica of Viese's outfit from the Atelier series. She hasn't elaborated on why, since no one has ever asked her. Maybe they just haven't noticed. It's probably because I'm lazy and the design is cool okay she's a fan of the series. She doesn't wear the hat that's associated with it most of the time, however, though she does wear it on special occasions.

Of course, none of that tends to be the first thing most people notice about her. No, the most noticeable thing about her is that she's in a wheelchair. A seemingly normal-looking wheelchair, even though she has occasionally decided to stand up from it and walk normally. (More on that later.)

Personality: In a word: Imaginative. Paola could be described as living in her own world. She's very energetic, intentionally acts over-the-top and dramatic, and for some reason, she seems to like to act like she has some sort of incurable disease, even though she's in perfectly fine health. She will often talk about how she has a "short amount of time to live" and act sad in an over-the-top manner, but it seems to be her just acting. When not doing that, she's very friendly to other people, and very blunt as well. She will rarely lie. She also has a habit of shipping random people, and having internal debates on who would be the "dominant" or "receiving" person in whatever crazy pairing she has in her mind next.

Character Bio: Not a very complicated backstory this time. She more or less has average grades, though her grades in her language classes are outstanding. When she was in middle-school, she got a temporary injury that resulted in her ending up in a wheelchair for quite a while. This is where she discovered her special ability (See later). Even after she was completely healed, she was almost always on a wheelchair. About a year ago, she moved to Calipers (She had lived in Italy before) and decided to live in the prestigious boarding school there. It sounded like an excellent idea.

Character Abilities: She's exactly as durable and strong as you'd expect a normal human being to be. Her power does not come from within. Her power comes from her wheelchair, which is more or less a rocket pack that allows her to fly in mid-air, and get to places faster. There is no reasonable explanation for how she's able to do this, since it's a perfectly normal wheelchair if someone else sits on it. She claims to have a small amount of magical ability that can only be used to power up wheelchairs, but it's unknown if she's telling the truth or not. Aside from that, her wheelchair can fire lasers that are capable of destroying walls, and most solid substances, but are completely harmless against humans for some reason. If she REALLY wanted to, she could try using her surroundings to damage an opponent (like making the ceiling fall on them) or just try going at high speed and bumping into them, but she's mostly a pacifist, and probably won't do that. The most that will happen if a human gets directly hit by a laser is that they'll feel slightly ticklish.

She's also a fairly good singer and writer (She likes to write fanfiction), though that's not really a "super" ability.

Other Information: As you may have guessed, she's Italian, and can speak the language. She also maintains a healthy relationship with her parents, and writes to them regularly.
Spoiler : Wackyman's students :
Character Name: Sarah Cavia

Character Race: Half-human, half-cat

Character Age: 17

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: Sarah is a slim girl of average height with blonde hair and a pale complexion. She ties her hair in very long twintails with red ribbons. Due to her cat DNA infusion, she has several cat like physical qualities. She has a thin black pupil while the rest of her eye is light green. She does not have a nose similar to a cat, but the cat DNA did make her nose smaller. Her ears are slightly more pointier and tend to twitch on occasion. Her two canine teeth are longer and sharper than the average human's, she has naturally long fingernails and a longer tongue than most humans.

During the weekends and days off, she usually wears a shirt similar to this (because I'm a derp at describing clothes and have no idea what to call this shirt also forgive the language) and a black skirt. During the winter season she usually wears a black winter coat and black pants(think this but without the fur on the collar) and red boots.

Personality: The cat DNA that was infused in her has had no effect on her personality. She doesn't have a fondness for fish, she doesn't drink milk all the time, she isn't afraid of water, she doesn't play with cat toys, etc., etc.. She acts like a normal teenage girl.

Sarah is a vibrant young girl with a warm, infectious smile. She is friendly to almost everyone she meets. She is known to have a lot of energy and puts it towards everything she does. However, she isn't absolutely crazy with her energy, and normally is overwhelmed by those who are too energetic or exhibit weird behavior. Despite this, she usually keeps her friendly demeanor up and takes it with a smile, although she does have a breaking point.

She isn't one to take criticism very well. If she does receive some, she can be quick to apologize for it or take it the wrong way and think you hate her. She's known to cry under moments of extreme criticism. She does not like being teased for her catlike traits, but it doesn't bother her as much as other criticism. The teasing has proven too much for her sometimes. Criticism aside, she is known to very overemotional at times. She can also tend to be a bit of a -dare I say it - scaredycat. She has a phobia of bugs, heights, and being tied up or restricted. She is afraid of doing most of the extracurricular activities available at Shelvington Academy, but does show interest in some. She prides herself on an extensive figurine collection, ranging from glass ones to those of anime characters. Ironically, yet understandably, she is not too fond of cats. She has a job as a waitress at a local diner.

Character Bio: For most of her childhood, she and her brother Barry lived a relatively normal life with their parents. Her father had a rather out-of-control gambling addiction and constantly blew away his paychecks. Her mother was always furious with this, but no matter how many fights they got into her father would never cease his gambling. Eventually, her family got into tremendous debt. Her father was incredibly desperate and looked for any sort of method that would get him quick money. Gambling obviously wasn't the best option, since that's what got him into debt in the first place. Instead, he went on Craigslist and found a deal for a lot of money if someone was willing to have a few experiments. Not wanting to be a part of the experiments himself, he reluctantly decided to let his kids be the test subjects instead.

He brought the two to the designated location, convincing the still young children that they were going in for standard check ups. The "scientist" in question began conducting experience with interest in creating human hybrids, as a means of "helping the world" by giving these humans new abilities to survive the world that grew harsher every day. (To be honest, I think this guy just read too many comics and just liked science.) After many failures with other patients, he is thrilled to learn Sarah's body and DNA structure didn't reject the DNA fusion. As a result of the fusion, Sarah is given catlike properties. What happens to Barry is described in his app.

After their mother learned what became of her children, she sank into complete blind rage. She grabbed a steak knife and nearly killed her husband, but Sarah begged her mother not to do it. Coming out of her rage induced trance, Sarah's mother packed her things and took her children far away from the man that caused their fates. Her mother works hard every day to provide for her family. They like in a rather modest apartment. When they were old enough, both Sarah and Barry began getting jobs to help support her mother. Sarah and Barry don't see much of their mother as she is usually always working, but the three do still live a (generally) normal life together in Calipers.

Character Abilities: Being a cat, she does share many abilities a cat possesses, such as being incredibly nimble and having amazing speed. She had once joined the track team because of these abilities, but she was kicked out for being "overqualified." She is also known to be very flexible. She also has the ability to hiss exactly like a cat. It's not exactly an impressive ability, and she doesn't have much control over it.

Other Information: Despite all that's happened, unlike Barry, Sarah does not resent her father for what he did. What became of their father is still unknown. The diner she works in is called Sand Dollar Diner and is located near the beach. She sometimes wish her brother wasn't so overly protective of her, but she still does love him.
Cavia is the of the genus subfamily of Caviinae normally associated with guinea pigs.
Character Name: Barry Cavia

Character Race: Not-so-human

Character Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: Barry has usually unkempt brunette hair and green eyes and wears glasses. He has more of a tan complexion compared to her sister due to his frequent trips to the beach. He has somewhat of a muscular build and is a little over six feet. He isn't considered a lumbering giant, but if he worked out a bit more frequently he could definitely be considered one. While he is muscular, when he wears his uniform or any other clothes that don't reveal skin he doesn't appear to be that built. When his powers emerges, jagged rocks begin to emerge from his body, creating a sort of armor. He has never been known to go fully rock, and it's unclear what exactly will happen when he does.

Barry wears rather plain clothing. Usually he just wears jeans or grey shorts during the summer, along with a polo shirt or a t-shirt. During the winter season he wears a heavy blue jacket.

Personality: Usually Barry is calm and collected. He normally keeps to himself and just talks to friends. He does make an effort to get to know you on the first day, though. He is rather fond of reading and usually has a book in hand. After school he usually likes to go to the school gym or participate in sports. His powers already make him strong, but he despises when his powers come out and prefers to use his own human strength. He is very smart a typically gets good grades.

There are a few things that can make Barry switch to berserk mode: messing with his sister too much, attempting to disrupt his peace, or just plain being an idiot. When he gets irritated, he starts to transform into a rocky form. It normally ends on his right arm, but it can sometimes go to his left arm or his torso. When his anger subsides a little, or he can get out of the blind rage his rock form hold on him, he can revert the process. Basically, the Hulk if he could actually stop himself. People can believe he's alive, because he's able to quell the beast within.

He is known to be a bit of a slob, which gets on his family's nerves. He is always leaving books or junk food around the house. He usually chooses his words carefully, but there are times when his "rock form" can cause him to be a bit blunt. He works as a cashier at a convenience store. He usually reads on the job, which loses him some points with management.

Character Bio: (See Sarah's above cuz laziness)

Barry was put through a series of experiments that dealt with giving his genetic code the properties of an inanimate object. A rock seemed simple enough for the first attempt, and it worked. Barry was given the ability to turn parts of his body into rock. When Barry's mother tried to kill his father, he didn't know how to react. He was the one who suffered the most through the experiments and his body was still adjusting. It caused his emotions to go unstable for a long time. While eventually they were quelled, it still arises.

When Barry was old enough to realize what had happened to him, he never forgave his father. He tried to forget it ever happened and ignore his abnormal traits, as opposed to Sarah, who more or less embraced. Though her case was more understandable, as she always looked like a cat, while Barry could look like a normal human. He hates being considered a freak, and lashes out on people who do call him this. This has caused him to not have many friends growing up, normally just talking to his sister. He has had one or two friends over the years, however.

Character Abilities: While in his rock form, Barry gains inhuman strength. He can pick up cars, throw large objects. All that jazz. He doesn't have any notable skills aside from his smarts, which he doesn't consider an actual skill.

Other Information: Barry is the overprotective big brother type. Despite this, he can still sometimes find Sarah's high energy and overall cheeriness irritating at times.

Character Name: Nehri

Character Race: Nahslein Selenite (Alien--sort of)

Character Age: Around 17 in Earth years

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance:

Nehri has flowing silvery locks that seem to defy gravity; she usually wears them up in a long ponytail, and they hang fluidly and arc-like in the air. The tips sway from time to time and the ponytail itself seems split somewhere around the middle, effectively resulting the the largest split end this world has ever seen. Nehri's forelocks brush her eyebrows and her sidebangs are curled in the way that is currently fashionable in her home city. She has learned that the style is affectionately named 'hair loopies' here on Earth.

She wears ornaments in her hair and on her earlobes, made of finely woven threads of a metal of a yellow paler than gold. Her eyes are of a pale silver. When she turns her head or glances in your direction, you may see them gleam momentarily in the corners. This is entirely normal for the Selenite and it is yet unexplained why they have shiny eyes. Her eyes also turn gold according to the lunar cycle, much like a vampire's hunger cycle. Nehri usually wears yellow eyeshadow and occasionally powders her hair with silver sparkles. This does not seem to work as well on Earth.

Nehri is moderately tall, though she has a very slight frame; her limbs are long and slender and she hardly weighs more than a child. In fact, Nehri is rather fat by Selenitian standards because of her habit of spending all day distressedly eating snacks on her bed while watching dramas and televised series imported from Earth. She looks absolutely out of place in the school uniform. She compensates by wearing her favorite pair of white Selenite heels. A heavy silver-and-moonstone necklace is slung over her chest and a white belt and pouch are strapped to her waist. The pouch contains the miniature gravitational control device that allows her to live normally on Earth. It accomplishes this by transforming the gravity level around her to one similar to what she is used to, so her things tend to float. Her skirt is actually covered with a thin layer of steel in order to solve this problem. This has the added benefit of making it look stiffer and nicer. Nobody likes floppy skirts. Unless they're supposed to be floppy. Uniform skirts clearly are not.

Additionally, she has a device that supplies her with what she needs to breathe, since the surface of the Earth is instead filled with that dreadful, useless oxygen. The breathing device is white and is usually worn by Nehri at all times.

Personality:

Nehri is a preppy girl, but she isn't quick to smile. She conducts herself rather elegantly for the city-loving shopaholic that she is, and she is rather reserved towards most people. She easily flips out, however, over shoe sales and new anime episodes. Her serenity is her best quality, as she seems to have no concept of danger, and is rarely afraid of anything that's actually frightening. She has a creative spirit and has a colourful imagery of the world. She appreciates simple things, like the feel of the wind caressing her hair, or the smell of grass, like deep qualities of life. She doesn't care much for the elaborate man-made structures or objects, though paradoxically she pulls back into herself until she can see the immense collectivity of sentient beings and loves that, instead. She loves the concepts rather than the actual things, and though she expresses her enthusiasm for numerous activities, she does not actually enjoy herself much while she is doing them, but she always reflects back on the experience with contentment afterwards.

Nehri has a good grasp of people. She sometimes displays a childish side, but one of her basic beliefs is that every person in the world can act the same way, all for different reasons, and that everything is different in its uniqueness. She loves that complexity of the person best of all, and is quite in love with sentience in general, though she does not harbor strong feelings of attachment towards any one individual apart her parents. To her, one is the same as a thousand, and a single instant is the same as a century in its moral and philosophical value. She dismisses quantities as irrevelant; she believes that if one truly values one's principles, those principles would not change or bend according to the time and number. Her own principles seem to be firmly set, though she trusts her heart and mind more than past experience.

On the other hand, Nehri is very good at mathematics in school. She is very focused, and is good at calculating and working with abstracts.

Character Bio:

Selenine is the lunar province to the north of the Moon, one of the five independant Main Provinces. Rather large and successful, its capital, from which Nehri hails, is a large, bustling city just like any other metropolis on Earth. Nehri's parents both came from different provinces, but like all great cities, the capital was a diverse place, and sentient beings of all sorts walked through its streets. Selenine did, however, maintain its pureblood policy, though it was in no way harmful to its tourists or visitors, so most people ignore this fact. Nehri herself is not a pureblood Selenite; she is not, in fact, a Selenite in the ordinary sense at all. Her family is actually of a subspecies usually found farther south: a demographical minority. The Nahslein Selenite are close cousins to the ordinary Selenite of Selenine, but are still slightly different from their nothern kin.

Character Abilities:

Coming from the Moon, Nehri does not in fact need to breathe air. She does need to breathe what the Selenites unfortunately also call 'air', however, so she needs her mask. Coincidentally, it seems that the oceans contain a large amount of those 'moon air' particles. That is to say that Nehri and her kin can effectively breathe under saltwater. Their flexible bone densities and structures (see section below) also allow them to dive deeper then humans. There are actually many underwater Moonfolk villas built along the Pacific coast.

The Selenite are named after a particular kind of moonstone found in their region of the Moon. Fragments and powder of this stone are found in the Selenite's bones and bodies. They glitter and shine at night, therefore giving the Selenite the rather useless but pretty ability of glowing in the dark. Due to their general lightness, Selenite are usually fast and agile.

The Selenite are also immune to any level of nuclear radioactivity, due to a nuclear war that near-destroyed their home centuries ago. Even now, the radioactivity remains, not fully dissipated. The Plutonians also used a series of their most toxic bombs, so most Selenite these days have inherited some manner of poison immunity. The Selenitian diet is also very different from that of the Earth, where natural ressources are abundant compared to on the Moon. Most Moonfolk have evolved to be able to eat whatever is in their area. Nehri, from the capital in the north and with parents from the south and the west, is able to digest absolutely anything found on Earth without problem, save for dandelions, which she is allergic to.

Other Information:

Nehri does not always rely on her gravity device. Selenitian bones are adaptable to different levels of gravitational force, due to the Selenite's tendency to visit the Earth multiple times in their lifetimes. Nehri's bones are especiall flexible so she can actually manage on her own on Earth, though the gravity device makes things more comfortable for her. It takes her about a week to get used to a different gravity, whether it's her own or another planet's. It takes nearly a month be fully comfortable with it. This bone flexibility also prevents her bones from breaking or undergoing too much stress under pressure when she switches celestial body.

Alice wrote:Character Name: Uesugi (Family) Alice (Given)

Character Race: Human

Character Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Character Appearance: Alice is half Japanese and half English. She has natural golden blonde hair which reaches her shoulders and then curls up to her cheeks along with deep blue eyes. Her skin is very pale, and is kept that way thanks to the white parasol she always carries with her. She's 162cm tall, 51kg and her three sizes are 88/59/87. She also always has white silk gloves on.

For casual clothes, she wears a normal long sleeved shirt and jeans combo with knee-high black boots. The shirt is a plain white colour with an image of a crown on it.

Personality: Alice has, throughout her life, been treated as a princess and as such acts like a condescending princess would be expected to. Her beauty has attracted many people, but she cares not for them. The most importance person to Alice is herself, and she'd sacrifice other people for her own well being. While she acts uninterested in the plebeians and their lives, Alice is quick to anger whenever somebody insults her. She has a soft spot for turtles and black tea, for whatever reason. Anyone who can make her a wonderful cup of black tea is a good person in her book. Money is very important to her.

Character Bio: Alice is the daughter of a very rich Japanese businessman and a very rich English model. She was born with a silver spoon, and has never been without money or care. Her life has never gone downhill at all, apart from the fact she rarely ever sees her parents because of their work.

Character Abilities: Alice has a very strong influence over people, and is usually able to order them simple commands without much backlash. She also has a seemingly never ending supply of money to spend and talented servants to do her bidding.

Uniform: Alice wears all uniforms (That this is possible with) in a way that exposes her cleavage slightly (Buttons undone etc.). In all seasons, Alice wears black pantyhose with knee-high black boots.

Character Age: 219

Occupation: Butler

Character Appearance: 6"10. Has a huge scar across his face. His face is clearly aged. Has white hair and a sort of mustache goatee combo going on. Wears white gloves.

Personality: Loves a challenge, but hasn't seen one in over 100 years. He lives just to find that challenge. Is quite crude.

Character Bio: Not really much is known about his past, but the intense mental and physical training he's went through has let him live as long as he has and probably a lot longer. Is one of the strongest beings on the planet, but has never once used his full power as it is believed to be dangerous to the solar system. Instead, he doesn't fight at all apart from his daily training and if anybody dares challenge him.

Character Abilities: Could probably move the earth far enough from the sun that it'd go into a very rapid ice age. But he doesn't. Ever. Because then everyone would die. And then he wouldn't be able to have a challenge. Other than that, he has superhuman perception and excellent intellect.

Other Information: He's scary. And he was lying about having a family.

Personality: Despite his position, Mikado is very laid back and casual. He doesn't really care for formalities or the like, and is very open about himself and his business. Loves a good game of poker or other various card games.

Character Bio: The Uesugi Corporation started with his father. It was originally a local detective's agency. When the building was passed down to Mikado upon his father's death (At the age of 21), Mikado transformed it into a huge corporate company dealing in pretty much any sector of business in 4 years. Spoiler : Drey Wilkin's Students :
Character Name: Kabuo Manami

Character Race: Human

Character Age: 18

Appearance: As with all other students, Kabuo wears the standard uniform at school. When he is out of school, however, Kabuo wears a black button-up jacket that reaches his lower buttocks in length. Depending on the occasion he dons either dark-grey trousers or jeans of the same color, and changes between different plain or buttoned undershirts daily - most of them being in shades of white, tan or blue.

Despite his oriental name, Kabuo's skin complexion and facial structure is that of a pale Caucasian - a feature that has been the cause of much trouble for him. He is noticeably thinner than most people, and stands a good five centimeters taller than most of his classmates. This is normally not visible, as he nearly always stoops or slouches when standing so as not to draw attention to himself.
Kabuo's head hosts a pair of sharp blue eyes and pale brown hair, which can make him look quite sickly when coupled with his pale face. His facial structure is reasonably angular, with his jawline slightly sharper than normal and a 'sad' looking downward tilt to the corners of his mouth when he isn't smiling - which is most of the time.

Personality: Kabuo is a notably timid and weak-willed person, and is more than likely to take any abuse from fellow students without complaint. He tends to avoid the more popular students if he can, as he has had bad experiences of being taunted and bullied over his complexion and ill-fitting name by those of a higher social standing.
Due to his history of bullying Kabuo is much more timid than he would be under normal circumstances, and he is desperate to build some sort of reputation that is not limited to 'That Pale Kid'.

Character Bio: Kabuo was born in Canterbury, and hence has grown up with a Southern English accent. (Which is better identified as the Generic British Twang, as apposed to the cockney accent found in London.) He was born to his Japanese father; Takuya Manami, and English mother; Maria Benson-Manami, which accounts for his Japanese name and Caucasian skin complexion - and may be related to his birth defect of having an underdeveloped immune system.
From a young age, Kabuo was taught both English and Japanese, in preparation for the day when his businessman father would be promoted to a position back in Japan from his current job as Co-Regional Manager for an electronics company serving Canterbury. This day would prove to be a long time coming.

It was shortly before Kabuo's fifteenth birthday that their family received the news that Takuya was being promoted to a regional executive position in the city of Osaka. While this meant that Kabuo would be leaving behind his admittedly unsatisfactory life in England, it also heralded an increase of income for the family, and a considerable rise in status and surroundings to something more fitting of the high opinion Takuya held of himself. After a considerable amount of preparation and the eventual selling of their house, Kabuo's family completed their move to Japan.

However, It was in Osaka that Kabuo's life - and opinion of himself - would hit its lowest point. With his pale Caucasian skin, Japanese name and social anxiety Kabuo once again found himself the target of widespread ridicule, this time much worse than back in England. Eventually, Kabuo's parents would make the decision to send him away to an international school in one final attempt to put an end to the storm of pariahdom. Apparently, they settled on the one school where their son had a reasonable chance to die. Funny that.

Character Abilities: Kabuo is a fast runner, and joined the school track team in Osaka. However, he was unable to follow a proper practice regime due to his frequent sicknesses.
He is fluent in both English and Japanese, having been taught both since an early age.
Kabuo is also a pianist in the low-intermediate range of skill. As with his running, he was unable to practice regularly.

Other Information As stated above; Kabuo has a long-running history of illnesses and ailments, due to his underdeveloped immune system. Kabuo can easily contract almost any kind of illness through very short term exposure, and anything worse than the flu can leave him effectively crippled for weeks while he recovers.
Also, he really is a massive pushover.

Spoiler : Master of Chaos's Students :
Name:Jennifer Fraser.

Race: Human.

Age: 17.

Student/Teacher: Student.

Appearance: Average weight and height of a 17 year-old girl blah blah blah. She has straight, dark purple hair that falls to her shoulders, and brown eyes. She doesn't wear any makeup, and her expression is often one of ether excited bewilderment or joyful content. When not wearing her school uniform, her usual attire consists of a light purple sweater on top of a white short-sleeved collared shirt, and a short black skirt.

Personality:Jennifer is a rather cheerful and friendly girl, eager to greet people and make friends with them. Although she can be rather excited and energetic to the the point of seeming childish and a bit scatterbrained at times, she often means well and is rather intelligent. She loves mysteries and tries to solve any that she comes across with vigor, calling herself a detective prodigy. She also has a strange fascination with knives, and carries around a very large collection with her.

Bio: Jennifer was given up for adoption at a very young age by her birth parents, being placed at an orphanage. At 4 years old, she was taken away to become part of an experiment due to her high potential for magic. She lived in a laboratory for about 5 years after that, until her and a few other kids attempted to escape to the outside world. However, things went wrong, and under stress she accidentally activated her powers and warped herself to another dimension. A young couple found her sleeping outside in a field, and adopted her into their family. Since then, Jennifer has started to try and find a way to gain control of her powers, and use them to return home.

Abilities: Jennifer is a reality warper. In theory, she is able to bend time and space to her will. However, her power is still underdeveloped as she is still trying to understand the exact nature of this ability and how to use it. She can use Psychokinesis to a limited extent to move objects mentally, but her strength is sapped depending on the size of the object. For example, she could lift several small objects in a room at once with little effort, but trying to lift a human being would require a lot of effort and concentration, and would leave her drained afterword. She can also teleport small distances.

Teachers/Headmistress:
Spoiler : Ami's Headmistress and Teacher :
Name: Headmistress Ami Cloverfield
Race: Cyborg
Age: 24
Occupation: Headmistress
Appearance: Image
What you see here, black short skirt, white thigh-high socks, knee-high sneaker-boots.
Bio: The thirty-eighth Headmaster of Shelvington Academy, Ami is a prodigious alumni who loves her job, and fought hard to get it. Literally, she had to fight to the death with the previous Headmaster, barely pulling through (and internally replaced with several machine parts which she can change via surgery). Ami has always been somewhat of a carefree person, ill-suited to an actual teaching role, but the perks of the job (nearly unlimited power and funding) appealed to her. Even if she comes off as callous, she does legitimately care for others, but also is very selective about which parts of the job she takes seriously and when. Not much is known about her past, other than she went to Shelvington as a teen, and spent the intervening years between graduation and becoming Headmistress working in several odd-jobs, none of which she held for very long.
Other Information: Ami tends to put plot-relevant machine parts within herself, and uses her body like the ultimate swiss-army knife. Though everything not plot relevant tends to be arbitrarily placed gadgets for no real reason other than to do so. Is in a committed relationship with Victoria, who she dated back in high school. After breaking up due to both taking different paths in life after graduating high school (Ami taking multiple temporary jobs, Victoria studying abroad), they both rekindled their relationship after Victoria reluctantly took a job teaching at Shelvington.

Name: Professor Victoria Celine Hamilton
Race: Human
Age: 25
Occupation: Teacher
Appearance: Image
What you see there, plus blue jeans, black canvas shoes.
Bio: An alumni of Shelvington who went on to gain degrees in literature and grammar in eight different countries, she returned to her home country of Calipan to teach at the school. Luckily, an opening had become available as Ami had recently become Headmistress, and had fired the resident Professor of Carrot Studies. Initially hesitant to take a position offered by her old high school girlfriend, she eventually took the job to have access to the school's library. Eventually, the relationship picked up right where it took off, and the two rediscovered why they loved each other in the first place (having originally broken up when high school ended when Victoria went to travel abroad).
Other Information: If Ami is the unpredictable, apathetic sweetheart, Victoria is very much the polar opposite. Composed, collected, organized, and motivated, Victoria feels compelled to teach children and learn as much for herself as possible. Refined and classy, Victoria has a regal air about her that generally tends to show its only cracks whenever Ami is around, reverting to a more high-school state of mind wherein Victoria was a bit less conservative.

Spoiler : Drey Wilkin's Teachers :
Character Name: Assoc. Prof. Ian Machs

Character Race: Human (Augmented Amputee)

Character Age: 28

Student/Teacher: Teacher - Ancient Studies (Dep. Head) and Literature Studies

Character Appearance:
Ian Machs.jpg
When he is not inside Ian wears a buttoned-up taupe (grey-brown) trench coat and moderate-tint aviator sunglasses – the latter for simple aesthetics, the former to fully shield his cybernetic augmentation from the elements. Under the coat is a pair of dark-grey trousers and a black dress shirt, accompanied by two black Blucher shoes. In addition, Ian is never without a pair of gloves, due to the fact that the right one is necessary to hide his cybernetic arm.
Ian’s entire right arm from the shoulder-down has been replaced by a cybernetic prosthetic. The artificial limb is clad in a white-painted metal casing and is structured to be almost entirely anthropomorphic, with individually defined and controlled fingers. The arm has the full seven degrees of freedom available to normal human arms, while the hand also has the 22 degrees of freedom available to the standard human hand. In addition Ian’s rib cage, spine, shoulder blades and knees have been artificially reinforced in order to accommodate any increased bodily stress that the prosthetic may generate. (These extra reinforcements are only visible in the way of a few surgical scars, and all of them also contain the kinetic generators that utilize Ian’s daily movements to charge the batteries in his arm.)

Personality: Ian is quiet – but not withdrawn – and has a tired, bitter air to him; this is a result of the events leading up to the current scholastic year at Shelvington Academy. Ian is known to be grumpy in the mornings and easily irritated, but is very unlikely to actually lose his temper. Due to the dangerous nature of the school and his own past injury, Ian has a strong, masked want to protect his students from the harm that is always a very real possibility at Shelvington’s school functions.

Character Bio: Ian was born into a family of moderate – but not entirely excessive – means, which allowed him a proper education at Shelvington, of all places. Emerging from the mild insanity of his high school years better-off than some of his classmates, Ian then moved on to university, where he would spend seven years studying to earn a master’s degree in Literature and a Doctorate (followed half a year later by a Professorship) in Ancient Studies. At this point, he was 25.
Towards the end of his half-year as a professor, Ian received an offering for a position heading the Ancient Studies department of his old school – Shelvington Academy – which he readily accepted, anticipating the enjoyment and high salary to be found in the job. He shifted location and began teaching at the start of the following year, indeed finding it to be everything he expected.
This changed four months into the following year, when Ian was involved in a gruesome twelve-car pileup that claimed three lives and mangled his right arm to the point that it had to be amputated. In the wake of this, Ian’s family pooled a large amount of their funds with the insurance pay-out and the noteworthy saved pay Ian had from his first year of teaching, all in order to provide Ian with a top-of-the-line cybernetic implant (as described above). The now embittered Ian returned to Shelvington Academy the next year (the beginning of Crazy Normal), following eight months of physical rehabilitation and learning to use his replacement arm.

Character Abilities: Ian’s only powers are the customary super-grip that comes with a robotic arm, and the ability to punch with extreme force. We’re not talking some ridiculous “level a cinderblock wall” amount of strength – as the reactive forces from such an action would be far too much for his body to handle, even with the reinforced bones around the implant – but more in the way of enough to seriously hurt a human recipient or break through wooden panels with ease. Due to the SoL styling to Crazy Normal, I doubt either of these powers will come into play.

Other Information: I’ll just make a note of mentioning that Ian wears his dress-shirt, gloves and coat in order to hide his arm, which distresses him. While any students who were at the academy last year will know that he was gone, and most likely know that he was caught in the car pileup, none of them know about his amputation and subsequent augmentation. The other staff members, however, do know.

Spoiler : Too slow, got :

Curse you Sleuth, I AM ALWAYS THE FIRST!!!
Anyway here's m silly characters.
Spoiler : Nina Valentine :

Spoiler : Isaac Carter :

Isaac's probably my silliest concept for a character yet. xP

Spoiler : Le Character App :

I'll be using old standards for the principal and teacher characters I'm going to use, I'll save new characters and stuff for student characters.

Feel free to start posting. This is the beginning of the term, so wander around the school campus and meet the other students!

Spoiler : Principal Ami Cloverfield :
Name: Principal Ami Cloverfield
Race: Cyborg
Age: 24
Occupation: Principal
Appearance: Image
What you see here, black short skirt, white thigh-high socks, knee-high sneaker-boots.
Bio: The thirty-eighth principal of Shelvington Academy, Ami is a prodigious alumni who loves her job, and fought hard to get it. Literally, she had to fight to the death with the previous principal, barely pulling through (and internally replaced with several machine parts which she can change via surgery). Not much is known about her past, other than she went to Shelvington as a teen, and spent the intervening years between graduation and becoming principal working in several odd-jobs, none of which she held for very long.

Spoiler : Professor Victoria Celine Hamilton :
Name: Professor Victoria Celine Hamilton
Race: Human
Age: 25
Occupation: Teacher
Appearance: Image
What you see there, plus blue jeans, black canvas shoes.
Bio: An alumni of Shelvington who went on to gain degrees in literature and grammar in eight different countries, she returned to her home country of Calipan to teach at the school. Luckily, an opening had become available as Ami had recently become principal, and had fired the resident Professor of Carrot Studies.

Spoiler : :
I guess I'll start this RP off, then.
The massive dorm seemed to loom ominously over the young man, casting a foreboding shadow that filled him with immediate regret.

"W-Wow, the dorm here sure is...uh...impressive..."

Young Isaac Carter swallowed anxiously. He never particularly wanted to go to Shelvington Academy. He heard stories about it being a psychotic asylum of mayhem and death. Granted, they were just rumors, but Isaac was paranoid all the same. However, Isaac's parents insisted that he went. It was a prestigious school where someone with his intellect could really stand out. That probably meant "go to that school and be a man", to be honest.

Isaac did have some hopes for this school, however. He was hoping maybe he could finally fit in somewhere. He was a master of many supernatural abilities...well, not supernatural, exactly. Unnatural, yes, but there wasn't really anything super about them. They weren't powers cool enough to impress people at his old school. Sure, talking to birds is neat the first time, but when it's the most impressive thing you can do, people lose interest pretty quickly. Maybe here, though, Isaac could get along with some of the other students and maybe even stand out in the crowd. That was what he was hoping for, at least.

Isaac carried his brown suitcase behind him, packed with all of his clothes, his laptop, and more. He took a moment to straighten his bow tie and button up his blazer before returning his gaze to the dorm.

"W-Well...I guess this is my home for now..." He let out a deep sigh and turned to his shoulder. A small canary sat there, wearing a small blue bow tie Isaac bought at a gift shop a year or two back. "What do you think, Chirpington III?"

"Chirp chirp! Chirp chirp!"

Isaac was sure that translated to "Man up, you pansy." Sighing once more, he reluctantly agreed with the bird and made his way towards the dorm.

----

Nina cruised past the streets on her bicycle. She was determined to get to her new school quickly. She had heard a lot about this school, and she thought it sounded awesome. She couldn't wait to begin the semester at a school that literally sounded like anything could happen.

Nina Valentine skidded to a stop at the school gates. She kicked the brake on her bike down and hopped off, stretching as she looked upon her new school. She let out an impressed whistle. "Nice place they're running here! This is going to be sweet!"

She looked down at her hands. They were bulky, metal, and robotic, as they had been for the past 8 years. She clenched her fists confidently. This would be the place where she could finally forget these things. She was sure of it.

She grabbed her briefcase by its crushed and mangled handle and chained the bike up outside the gates. She took her black blazer and tied the sleeves around her waist (she had troubles fitting such tight sleeves over her hands). She looked back up to the school and grinned. This was the start of a new life for her. Fully prepared, she stepped through the gates and headed towards the dorm.

Amelia arrived very early. She got out of the car and lugged her heavy trunk with her clothes, magic stuff, and books inside it, and rabbit carrier inside the dorms. She had an idea. She turned invisible, then sat atop her trunk. She would wait for someone to show up to surprise them. A boy with a small bird on his shoulder appeared. She tapped him on the opposite shoulder, then ran around in front of him, becoming visible once more. "Good morning." She gave him a friendly smile. "The name is Amelia Drake. Just call me Amelia or Amy. Here's my card." A playing card shot out of her sleeve. She giggled at her own joke for a second.

Positioned in front of the dorms, Victoria adjusts her tablet with the current files on known new students arriving. She'd asked for this position, so as to get all the new faces lined up in her mind. However, the position was available because a certain someone had eluded duty by poorly faking ill. Disgruntled at her lot in life currently, the lavender-haired teacher (whom prefers to refer to herself as "professor") waited under the unforgiving August sun for new arrivals. And as it just so happens, three children happened upon the dorm. One with a bird on his shoulder, the other with mechanical arms. It's at this point Victoria reassures herself that there will be hell to pay, as being physically normal, she is in no position to deal with augmented humans and meta-humans.

"Names, please." cordially rolls past her lips keeping her calm composure despite her abject terror of not having any practice with this- it is, after all, her first day in this school as well. "After you do so, I can direct you to your rooms." Her gaze floated towards Amelia. "Ms. Drake, was it? Room 109."

By what she could tell, the young boy seemed rather harmless, as did the familiar female student- at least, not intentionally so. She grew more nervous noticing the parts of the luggage grip not currently held by the young woman. Of course, the constant teleporting of the other was especially disconcerting to someone who spent many tolerable years away from this crazy school. Though some things did come back, good memories, bad memories- familiarity. "It's like being home again," she thought to herself, "if home were bedlam."

Spoiler : Agito Morita :

I'll explain later.

yeah, don't worry about that. He's just going to be there for comedy for the most part. He's kinda going to be like tony the alien from Hetalia. Doesn't show up much, and when he does show up. He's just kinda there to make the situation awkward but funny.

He was here. He was finally here. The school and dorm building overshadowed everything nearby. It was like a giant amongst the dwarves the way it stood out in the city. He knew that a new life was waiting for him beyond these gates and he wasn't going to wait a moment longer. He charged through the gate, heading towards the dorms with any and all manner of gusto possible. Performing parkour no one would believe was possible. He reached the doors of the dorms and entered. He couldn't wait for this moment, he was finally going to be able to live a different life, with different people and friends!

Perhaps he could start with the group of people outside the window here? He made a sharp turn and headed towards the window, he tucked his shoulder and smashed through. And rolled onto the pavement. He took a look around. There was a rather scrawny guy with a bird on his shoulder, some girls one sitting on a car, the other seemed to be a teacher. After lying down for a moment or two, he sat up with a grin on his face.

"Hey there, my name is Agito Morita!" Shouted Agito "Whats up?!"

Isaac jumped and put a hand to his heart as Amelia introduced herself. She scared him half to death, even though he saw it a moment beforehand (two seconds of foresight sounds useful, but it's never enough to comprehend anything that's happening). He breathed heavily trying to regain himself as Amelia introduced herself.

"Huff...huff...uh...my name's-"

"Names, please."

Isaac jumped again when the teacher questioned them. He hadn't even noticed standing there. Today wasn't starting off exactly as he had hoped it seemed.

"Uh...right..." He cleared his throat and faced the teacher. "My name's Isaac Carter, ma'am. It's my first day here." He stood with his back straight and a professional demeanor, though his rather wimpy appearance didn't exactly help his first impression.

"Heeeeeey! Is the party starting already?"

Isaac jumped yet again. He didn't realize just how paranoid he was. He tried to quickly regain his composure and stood up straight again. The source of the shouting came walking up to the group from the direction of the front gates.

Nina walked up to the group and dropped her luggage to the floor. "Hey! Name's Nina Valentine! It's my first day here, so if you'd be so kind as to show me to my dorm room, that'd be super." She winked and gave the professor a metallic thumb up.

She turned to the students. "So you two are in the class, too, eh? You guys as pumped for this school as I am?"

Isaac gulped. "Uh...I don't quite know HOW I feel just yet..."

Nina laughed a little. "Aw, cheer up, kid, it'll be fun!"

Isaac frowned. "Kid? I'm 17..."

Nina shrugged. "Eh, whatever. How 'bout you?" She turned to Amy and another boy that was coming up. "You guys ready for this place? I hear it's awesome!"

It has been said by a few of the second-years that Room 601 of Plank Dormitories is haunted; of course, this was laughed off by most of the students, who had been informed repeatedly by their cyborg alien teachers that there was no such thing as ghosts. Even so, anomalous figures of demon dogs, twelve-headed snakes, masses of teeth-filled fur, and a giant, pus-spewing swarm of flies had all been reported by students as occupying Room 601. In actuality, the none of those creatures inhabited the room; no, instead, it was inhabited by something far worse.

Maybe.

Devin Duvile was not a girl who was easily worried; she'd flunked practically every class she'd taken in her first year at Shelvington Academy (including Failure 101) and received at least twenty probations, all without batting an eye. Even so, the news that the Headmaster sent her way that morning made her blood run cold.

"I'm getting a WHAT!?"

"Answer: The term you appear to have issue comprehending is 'roommate'. A roommate is someone who--"

"No no no no no," Devin shook her head furiously, as if trying to make  the notice in her hands disappear. "I know what that is; I'm not supposed to have one. Ever."

"Analysis: It is typical of Plank Dormitories to assign two students to each room."

"But I'm not supposed to get one--" Devin clenched her fists in protest, "I know you can't exactly tell, Mr. Cold Steel, but I tend to sorta... You know, do things to people."

"Request: Please do not shoot the messenger-bot."

"Yeah, sorry, I get it, but.."

"Analysis shows that Devin Duvile is a registered CNH."

"Yeah, I get that, but I'm not! Didn't my parents tell you, I can't be paired with another student, or--"

"Apologies: Rules are rules. Consolation: I am programmed to play motivational voice clips to uplift your young emo spirits."

"...Thanks?"

"You can do it. Keep your eye on the ball. Carpe diem. Don't forget to floss."

Devin groaned and quietly shut the door, retreating to her gloomy room on the 4th Floor. She sighed-- What on earth was the Headmaster thinking? Perhaps the pink-haired Principal had something against her? There was no way she'd be able to handle being in close proximity to others with her "gift". It'd only take one glance at her for that poor student to scamper off and never come back.

Devin groaned; she'd gone to all the trouble of sneaking in early, getting in before anyone else to avoid freaking out the new arrivals-- And all of that moot in the face of this new arrival.

The raven-haired girl slumped onto her bed, slowly gazing at her hand. It was just a normal hand, like anyone else's-- Normal, but not. She waved it back and forth. What must it look like? People always saw her as a monster, a beast of some sort; but  she herself couldn't see it. What would it be like-- to see her thin, pale arm, as some claw, tentacle, or wretched sickle? What did the monster look like?

She was anxious, now, for her new roomie. She had planned to sleep up to her next class, but that wasn't going to happen now. Sitting straight up on the bed, Devin slowly pulled out her sketchbook, tapping the pen against the paper, waiting for them to come.
