[Zero Escape] Saga

Post by grim_tales »

After discussing this at length at the back-up C-R forum, I decided to order it as it had excellent feedback from lots of members and great reviews, its meant to be one of the best adventures on DS and I think its something I'd enjoy as an AA/PL fan :D
I'll ask for Ghost Trick for my birthday too.

I seem to enjoy/love my mystery games a lot (unless theyre Flower Sun and Rain of course).
The story of FSL was intriguing but the gameplay was awful.
I liked the characters in Time Hollow though. :)

Unfortunately I am the only one who has played/likes 999 in this forum xD
No one seems interested about it D:

It is a great game though, and even better written than any Ace Attorney game :D
The 1st ending I got was the knife ending. I was like: "... o_ó... Omg, I did all of this to get to this! D:" xD

And Btw, my fave character is Snake :D
Too bad that if you chose Door 4 at the beginning...

Totes not true, I played... the demo.

And I liked it, but really originally just wanted the game for the pre-order bonus watch. Didn't have the money for it though.

But I've been hearing good things about the game so I might look into getting it sometime when its cheaper.

The game is 10000 billion times better than the demo xD
Even the story starts slightly differently.

That's good to know, because while the demo was pretty neat, I felt like it would be the kind of game that I'd end up setting aside once I got stuck and never touching again. xD Kinda like what I did with Lux-Pain...

Generally how long of a game is it? ...And don't say "nine hours" unless you mean it. xD

I liked the story in the game Time Hollow as well even if the game was a bit boring sometimes, the story was intriguing and the music was awesome.

THe funny thing is that, in fact, playing all of the 6 different endings is 9 hours long :P (Or even more)

I LOVED this game. <3 I bought it a few months ago and loved it. Been recommending it to people ever since. Enough of us love it over at Vendetta Strada, we made our own 999 forum game. I'm currently playing in it with eight others while Alsark plays the game master Zero. Nothing to do with the original plot, but still keeps the same mechanics.

Currently, we haven't even gone through a single door yet, but the RP'ing is fun.
since 2008!

I'm going to play it, but given the way I play games...I'm probably only going to start months later. I still have some games I have yet to complete. What's it like really? I already know the gist of the story, but whats the mechanics like? Similar to AA games?

Eshvelut Lochelle, king.
Roxciel Artefille, the world's librarian.
Salfira Artefille, madhatter. lulz.
My characters of Endless Time.
I failed! Dood!
Anyway, try counting the words. Lines are too big I find.

There is a lot of talking.
I would say 60% of the game is just reading the story and everything.
But then there are phases in which you choose what to do, where to go...
And depending on what you choose, you will end up in different rooms, with different puzzles and enigms...

The puzzle/investigations phases are about clicking different objects, using objects on other objects...
And solving very hard puzzles :D (All of them specific to each situation)

I played it too, a few months ago and I thought this thread was a little late.
It got 5 endings, and plays with your mind. It's fun because it's really engaging.
Anyway, games like this is the reason why visual novels should be translated more and be international :/.

Five endings? I thought it was six...

I've got the Axe and Knife endings so far.
Just started my third playthrough, and REALLY hoping I get at least an ending where I actually survive.

Is True the only ending where you survive? Initially, I thought Knife and Axe were the only ones where you end up dying...
