Endgame spoilers are to go in spoiler tags, thank you
with all this Infinity War talk I'm surprised that there hasn't already been a thread for this so here it is
the official Marvel Cinematic Universe thread!
but just what IS the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Glad you asked, blue text! The Marvel Cinematic Universe (henceforth referred to as the MCU) is a series of films produced by Marvel Studios (itself owned by The Walt Disney Company) that serve as a cinematic equivalent to their sprawling comicbook universe.
The MCU consists of the following films, divided into three "Phases", retroactively referred to as The Infinity Saga:
Phase One
Iron Man (2008)
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Thor (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
The Avengers (2012)
Phase Two
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Ant-Man (2015)
Phase Three
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Doctor Strange (2016)
Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 (2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Black Panther (2018)
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
Captain Marvel (2019)
Avengers: Endgame (2019) <------------------ you are here
Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019, to be released)
after Avengers: Endgame, the series will continue into as-yet-unknown territory:
Phase Four (tentative)
????? (TBA)
Phew, that's a lot. But the fun doesn't stop there!
It doesn't?
Oh no! Because there's also a whole bunch of MCU TV series too! Divided by network:
ABC
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (2013-present)
Agent Carter (2015-2016)
Inhumans (2017-present)
Netflix
Daredevil (2015-present)
Jessica Jones (2015-present)
Luke Cage (2016-present)
Iron Fist (2017-present)
The Defenders (2017)
The Punisher (2017-present)
Hulu
Runaways (2017-present)
Other
Cloak & Dagger (2018, to be released)
New Warriors (2018, to be released)
plus a whole bunch of shows that are gonna be on Disney+ when that launches
Holy Hollywood, Batman, that's a lot of content! I don't even want to do the maths on how long that would take to watch all of that...
so this here's the thread for all your Marvel discussion needs (you can talk about the comics too if you want)
