More of a... MORE OF A TENTH DOCTOR THING?!

Dude, the Cybermen have been around since 1966! They killed the First Doctor, battled the Second numerous times, poisioned on of the Fourth's companions (Sarah-Jane), caused one of the Fifth's companions to sacrifice himself to stop them from destroying Earth, and tried to the Sixth and the Seventh, and one had it's head cut off for the Ninth to see in a museum!

Anyway, yes, they are coming back, but they are the Classic Series Cybermen, not the Cybus ones that the Tenth fought.

The "alien" is actually the imposter!Doctor. As some of you know, The Rebel Flesh & Gangers might be about an alien invasion where a clone of the Doctor appears, causing chaos and discord.

So say, as an isolated American viewer, I wanted to begin watching Doctor Who to see what all the fuss is about. But let's also say that, as an uneducated American slob, I would prefer to avoid the older episodes of the show (say, before the 1990s.) Where would I have to begin in order to get a clear opinion of the show?

Series 5 is where you should begin. Long running shows like this need to have a reset every-knower-and-again so that new viewers won't be left out. You won't need any knowledge of previous series to understand what's going on in series 5.

Agreed with Meph. Series 5 is IMO the best Who series so far, but they are all amazing.

INCLUDING THE PRE-1990s EPISODES. DON'T DISS THE CLASSICS!
