As much as I like Rory, I'd rather think for the moment that Tennant's returning for a bit of screen time.

On another note, who does everything think River Song is? My theory has always been that she's Romana IV (the only way to explain her regeneration into River!). I also read a crazy fanfiction once where it was actually Jack Harkness who got a sex change since "he was sick of living as a male"...

There's a couple of things that come to mind, even if most are incredibly unlikely (but hell, who knows?)

- She's the Tardis. (yes, future timey wimey stuff, there were some Tardis models that resembled humans)
- She's the 10'th doctor's daughter, regenerated. (the girl clone)
- A brand new regeneration of the Master (lol)
- She's the 12'th doctor. (wait..ewwww)
- A future villain the doctor has yet to meet, turned to the 'good' side. (I'm going with this one, boring but seems the most likely)
- It's Davros in drag.

Eh... I didn't really like Jenny, but if she's regenerated into the awesome River Song, then I wouldn't mind that. It's also pretty likely, but from what I'm thinking and seen so far, Moffat is trying to distance himself from the Eccleston and Tennant era and instead, go back to the classics.

A female Master? The Rani seems like a more likelier option than that...

This also seems pretty likely once you take into account the mysterious person she killed. I'm guessing it was the eleventh doctor.

River could be an older Amy. River was incarcerated for killing "the greatest man she's ever known". Now look at the trailer. Amy is seen shooting a gun and the Doctor screams negatively. She could have shot Rory.

And plus, River = Pond. Both water based names.

Of course this could be very, very wrong, but I have some evidence. A lot more feasable than Davros in drag.
