Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Baby Fluttershy was disappointingly less cute than was expected.
And all the carries and junglers will look up and shout "Save us!" and I'll whisper...

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
It's probably just me, but I don't really understand the big "Brony" sensation about this show. Is it really so great? Seems like your average kids' show to me. Maybe I should just look further into it...
EDIT:
EDIT:
I must watch more of this. But if you still enjoy cartoons for kids that adults like (Such as Courage, Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Johnny Bravo, AOSTH, etc) then it's a must-see.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
The fact that it's an average kids show (though I think it's a very good kids show) is part of why it's been given so much praise: have you SEEN the current cartoon market? With crap like Regular Show, Adventure Time, Flapjack, The Might B!, and countless other forgettable colossal wastes of time, it's no wonder this show gets so much attention: because being good makes it great in the current quality pool. That Guy wrote:It's probably just me, but I don't really understand the big "Brony" sensation about this show. Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Well, since I used to enjoy kids' cartoons, I'll give it a shot...
Thoughts as I watch...
Not bad for a show. It seems all dark at first but I get the feeling it's only for that episode...
Thoughts as I watch...

No, quarries are designated digging spots. That was just a plot of land with rocks on the ground.

The episode was okay. I didn't love it right away but I don't see much to hate about it either.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Anyway, a Spike-centric episode. It was certainly interesting, as I always feel he's just kind of in the background most of the time...

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Maybe this is odd, but Spike was actually my least favorite character when I watched a bit of it.
He's got that cutesy voice, he looks lame, and he's always at the center of the worst jokes... Sure, the ponies are designed to make it feel like a girl's show, but Spike is designed to make it seem like a KID'S show. And even though it IS a kid's show, I find that far more annoying.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
There is nothing wrong with Spike. He is the second buttmonkey and is a contrast to all the girls. He also does a bit of the beleuged assistant for Twilight.

Hey, "The punch has been Spiked" was a hysterical moment, I laughed for like 15 minutes straight because I literally could not believe they just went there.
