I believe we all know what Abridged Series are, so here's a thread to discuss them. You can talk about which ones are good *cough*YGOTAS*cough* which ones are bad *cough*Ihaven'twatchedanybadonesyet*cough*, and even discuss your own.

Well, you didn't really explain what an Abridged Series is in the OP, so I guess I'll throw a bit of an explanation out there. An Abridged Series, such as YuGiOh The Abridged Series (or YGOTAS) is a fan-made parody of a show (generally, if not exclusively, an anime). They will use the footage from the series while dubbing over their own voice work and inevitably mock the show while still sticking vaguely to the storyline. Thus, they are abridged in that they are much shorter than the actual show. I actually just rewatched the rest of YGOTAS TODAY, so this is rather impeccable timing.

Okay, well, it's basically a shortened parody of a show, usually anime. They were created by a guy called LittleKuriboh, who liked the Yu-Gi-Oh series, and for whatever reason decided to make a show where it was condensed into about a few minutes. He threw in a lot of jokes about the series and made it pretty darn hilarious (not to mention PG-13).
It became popular and lots of people started doing their own abridged series of different anime and shows, but few are as good as LittleKuriboh's.

Anyway, the only other abridged series I watch besides YGOTAS is Pokemon: The Abridged Series by OneKidsEntertainment. It's good random comedy.

I really think someone should make Durarara!!: The Abridged Series. That'd be awesome. I wish I could do it myself. One can dream...

You don't really HAVE to like it as it is a parody. It loosely follows the actual storyline but has plenty of humor thrown in.

I never watched YuGiOh OR DBZ, but their abridged series were hilarious.

Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged is the definition of EPIC. And I like Naruto Abridged as well.

The closest I've seen to an Abridged Series is Phoenix Wright: Ace Idiot. However, I think I'll watch Yu-Gi-Oh The Abridged Series sometime, since I have seen some clips.

Yet, I've watched YGOTAS a lot. Back in 2010.
