One of my friends tried to get me into this series...

Didn't think it was good at all...Good concept, but just poor execution imo

It sounds to me like he introduced you to Season one, which was terrible.
I would say: Bear with Season one and the first part of Season two. The comedy is hilarious, and most of the humor is high brow.

Nah it wasn't season one, since I remember the series was out for at least a year before he showed me.
