The AAO Official Scary Things Topic

Post by energizerspark »

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY NIGHTMARES OR FEELINGS OF SCAREDNESS GOTTEN FROM READING THIS TOPIC.
ALSO, IF YOU'RE POSTING SCARY PICTURES, PLEASE PUT THEM IN SPOILER TAGS.

I went on the French section a while ago (with the help of Google Translate, of course) and they had a creepypasta section.
So, I decided to make a scary things topic! Ranging from creepypastas* to scary pictures to things that scare you and scary experiences you may have had!
*A creepypasta is a story copied and found around the internet, designed to scare people. Some good examples:
BEN Drowned (AKA: You Shouldn't Have Done That)
http://inuscreepystuff.blogspot.com/2010/09/majora.html
Pokemon Black (not the real one)
http://thecolligere.com/internet/pokewe ... emon-black

I stumbled upon this creepypasta about Sonic 2 on the Master System, and well, let's just say I forced myself to stop sleeping for a while, especially thanks to YouTube user whoisthisgit, he had a video about the bad ending to said game which is what the creepypasta was based around.

I also read a Sims 3 creepypasta which wasn't very creepy, and was actually kinda hilarious. It involved a hack that worked with the Sims 2 and 3, and it let the person merge the two games together, and a Sim from his Sims 2 game killed his Sims 3 family, and talked to the player. I had no lasting damage of any sort. Unless you count a chuckle at something that fails miserably at it's task mental damage.

I also think you should explain what a creepypasta is in the OP

The best description is that it's a story put on the internet to try and unnerve and shock the reader.

The Ben one creeped me out for weeks on end...

That one was good :)
Speaking of Pokemon, how about the original Lavender Town music that would screw with your ears in horrible ways? (Which I still don't have the guts to listen to, by the way.)

Really, I think this topic should be locked...
AAO is a family website and children do go on here. I don't think 10 year olds would want to see their TV show characters commit suicide...
Sorry guys to be a killjoy :?

There's absolutely no need to lock the topic. I believe a warning would be enough.

There's no actual videos of suicides involved in this. It's mostly pictures with freaky music and conspiracies attached to them. ;)

I don't think it should be locked. But a disclaimer added to the OP and possibly title. These might be a bit too creepy for 10 year olds.
Edit: Can someone explain Squidward suicide? The video's not loading.
Also, Herobrine!

Creepypastas can scare people of all ages, agreed with folks on here on that it shouldn't be locked, but definitely edit the OP with a big warning.

There now I'm happy :) I'm just thinking of all the children who might be on here, because as a child I fell victim to a screamer and couldn't sleep for weeks.

My stepdad used to do that to me all the time. He used to show us a video that said something like "Amazing Optical Illusion" and we'd have to stare at a picture for 30 seconds and then a screaming lady or something would appear.
