I'm going to assume you haven't read many creepypastas, then. I found Cupcakes rather tame. I suppose I should mention that I occasionally read creepypastas, but don't really go out searching for them. None have captured my interest for too long.

Yeah, I gotta agree, Cupcakes didn't do much for me. Then again, I read much gorier ones before it, so it was pretty much par by the point I got around to it.

I've read plenty of pastas, GD, just not a lot of uber-gory ones. I mean, it didn't scare me or anything, but for a cartoon-based pasta, it's probably the most descriptively gory one I've read. I've read some other pretty nasty stuff, too, though. Russian Sleep Experiment was a violent one...and Seven Deadly Sins (which I highly reccomend, btw) had a very disturbing ending...but yeah, I mostly read the less gory ones. I've read a LOT of Pokepastas...

I starting to find Creepypastas kinda repetitive.
Slenderman, Jeff, Smile Dog, Zalgo, and others seem, to me, overrated and over-hyped.
Cupcakes is a dull waste of time.
Jeff looks like a Joker wannabe.
Zalgo, Smile Dog, and Pokemon pics are cheap ways to scare people.
And Slenderman is just a business man with no face and noodle for arms and legs. Oh, and he just want $20, but I'll just give him $5.
Now I'll just get my popcorn and soda...
Can Neil Patrick Harris get any more awesome?

I do not find Slenderman scary. At all. He's just your friendly average really tall guy in a suit with no face. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to not be scared of him.

I think the concept behind Slenderman is fascinating, and the game (Slender, that is) I find to be quite creepy. Not 'scary', but just generally unsettling due to the absolutely fantastic atmosphere.

I have a friend who's so scared of Slenderman he doesn't let me say "Slenderman" lest I inadvertently summon him.

So... when did Mothman become a creepypasta? Last time I checked, he was a cryptid, like Nessie and the Yeti and whatnot, not a part of some made-up story on the Internet.
There wasn't a signature fad/meme/whatever here, what are you talking about?

The SCP Foundation website is FULL of creepypastas. Though some are quite funny.

I've liked the BEN DROWNED story. But what I'm upset about is that it immediately became a dead horse by many video game creepypastas.
Guess 'originality' just doesn't cope with the creepypasta community.
I'm surprised that nobody attacked me for comparing Jeff with Joker, I'm safe!

I dunno. He appears on a creepypasta wiki for some reason but the story is just the same info that was already out about the Mothman myth. It's definitely the same thing, and it definitely didn't start as creepypasta. Hell, it isn't even creepy in the same sense.

I got my dad to read the NES Godzilla Creepypasta last week. He quite enjoyed it.

Also, I recently read a very good pasta simply called 5Ds Wheelie Breakers, based off the Yu-Gi-Oh game of the same name, and I enjoyed the work in it.

(I also think it would be interesting to see a creepypasta of Clock Tower, as the series really has some moments that are ideal to use)
