Movie suggestions?

Postby Holhol » Wed Apr 04, 2012 5:09 am

Just a topic for movie fanatics wanting to watch... more movies. Suggest some.

Right now, I strongly suggest all of you go watch Another Earth, Milk, Beginners, Jane Erye, The Fighter, Obe Day, and Water for Elephants. RENT THEM!

Any movies you suggest?

If you liked Heath Ledger's performance in Dark Knight, A Knight's Tale is for you.

John Carpenter films. Only the Good ones. (Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape from New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, In the Mouth of Madness (If you enjoy supranatural horror)).

One film I really liked was Remember the Titans. It's basically about a football team in the segregated south whose school (and team) gets integrated. It's available on Disney+, and it's actually really good (if a bit cliche). Plus, it has Denzel Washington.

Also, I've watched two classic comedies recently. The first one was Liar Liar, a Jim Carrey film about a lawyer who discovers he can't lie for a day. The second one was Talladega Nights, a Will Ferrell film about a NASCAR driver that gets involved in a freak accident. Both are REALLY funny, and I HIGHLY recommend them.
If I’m wrong, don’t get mad. I’m just a girl trying to figure out life and be lazy while doing it. So far, it’s not working.

Also, I am utter musical theatre trash and proud of it.

Find me on AO3!

Hamilton on Disney+ July 3rd. Enough said.

The 1984 Ghostbusters. I watched it for the first time last night and it was AMAZING.

I've started a new thing where I watch a new movie every night. I'll suggest it if I like it.

Last night, I watched Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. REALLY good-STUNNING animation, moving story, and a bit more INTENSE than you think it's gonna be! A bit short, but DEFINITELY 5/5!

Tonight's movie was Billy Madison. You've probably already watched it, but just in case you haven't, be sure to check it out. It's REALLY funny.
