Spoiler : :
I think that the method Amon uses to take away other peoples
bending is similar to a lobotomy. Amon might literally sever a specific nerve cell and
thus, sever the connection between the respective elements.

Since Amon has never taken away an airbender's bending, or an Avatar's bending, he could have made a
mistake, and only severed Korra's connection between earth, fire and water. When she tried to bend, her brain may
have been forced to use nerve pathways that it had never tried to use before.

These are my ramblings.
"Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the Universe than we do now."

Spoiler : :
That makes sense. And, when Aang restored her bending, he probably just repaired the cell.

Wrong Avatar... But while we're talking about movies, I'll just say this: The Last Airbender sucked... There. I said it. Whoever watches that movie should take notes on how NOT to make a movie...

My friend prompted me to watch the entire series of Korra a few days ago.

...Simply amazing. Too bad I'm out of shows to watch until september now...

Season 2 of Legend of Korra is near its end, it's getting good. There's going to be a two-parter this Friday, and another two-parter finale next week. I can't wait! :)

For those who don't know, the finale is actually up. They released it a week early thanks to the dedicated Tumblr community. And it, the finale, is amazing.
