So, some of us don't exactly have the stomach for scary things. Chucky the doll (in the original three) still gives me nightmares. Still, I sometimes like something for its plot, but it happens to be horror as well. I can't be the only one with this problem, so maybe this can be a safe place for people like you and me, and maybe the braver among us to commune.

This doesn't necessarily need to be a "I like to watch scary stuff but I don't like being scared" topic. This is more of a supportive place where we can talk about media that scares us. As always, leave spoilers in spoiler tags.



So, I'm-a re-watching Hell Girl (save for the episodes involving dogs), and then watching the other seasons. I love the show's commentary on humankind's lust for revenge, but it scares the bejeezus out of me.

I'm sure I've mentioned this a few times before, but I hate the Iridescent Flint Beetle from Pikmin. I love Pikmin, but that thing pops up and scares the ever loving crap out of me. The way it jumps out of nowhere, the creepy way it clicks around, everything about it sends a shiver down my spine. I'm so paranoid playing the game because I think at any moment that beetle is gonna pop out and I'll scream like a little girl.

So, yeah. I might try and get over that fear soon, since Pikmin 3 is on its way. But if that enemy were removed from the game altogether, that'd be even better. Pretty please, Nintendo? :3
