Jigoku Shoujo (aka Hell Girl)
You guys seriously need to watch this anime. It is one of the best animes I have ever seen. It's about a website where when you access it at midnight, you type in the name of the person you want sent to hell immediately. Of course, you go to hell once you die if you accept the deal. No relation to that comic book series, though.

I started it a while back. I was extremely underwhelmed.

Stick through to the end of the season. What most of the episodes do in the early season is develop characters, introduce plot points, etc. Then things get HEAVY in the last 6-8 episodes. ESPECIALLY second season. Holy crap, this is messed up.Lind wrote:I started it a while back. I was extremely underwhelmed.

I've seen the most of seasons 1 and 2 (maybe even the whole seasons? I don't remember anymore...) and some of the third season and I kinda have to agree with Lind. I wouldn't say Jikogu Shoujo is a bad anime but it tends to be a bit repetitive and predictable. After seeing the same formula repeated for multiple seasons it does get tiring.

It's more about the context of the series as a whole, and yeah- it is a slow-moving show. The plot really only happens at the first few episodes and at the last 7 or 8 in each season. Still, it's a good watch.
