Yes, I know there's a generic anime topic, but I feel that this series deserves its own topic.
So, for those of you who don't know what this is, it's a series about this girl called, you guessed it, Haruhi Suzumiya, who forms a club called the SOS Brigade with some other people called Mikuru Asahina, Yuki Nagato, and Itsumi Koizumi, who are not normal people, apart from the other main character, Kyon. (Yuki is the girl with the purply-pink hair, Mikuru is the girl with the red/brown hair, Kyon is the guy on the left, Koizumi is the guy on the right and Haruhi is the girl in the middle.) Together this club gets up to some wacky adventures weird things that nobody understands.

This series consists of a manga series, 2 seasons of a TV show and a movie (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya).

I loved this. The only anime I've ever actually finished. Loved Season 1 and Disappearance, but I was rather... disappointed with Season 2... and a lack of a Season 3.

Still, this is a great anime. I loved it, and all the characters.

I've considered watching it...My sister and I tried to start a couple years ago. Then Haruhi started taking her top off and we closed it. The only episode I've seen beginning to end is the one with all the Phoenix Wright references (figures). That alone makes me really curious, though, so whether or not I actually start watching this show, we'll see.

Okay, I finished watching Disappearance, and all I can say is this:

So It turns out that Yuki did it because she was getting feelings but she put in an escape program anyway? And then Kyon got stabbed and nearly died but then he woke up in a hospital room so it was all a dream or was Koizumi just saying that because the Agency told him to or something? Answers on a postcard please.

I have no idea why this is so popular. I honestly found this just boring but then again I hate "slice of life" if you could call Haruhi that...

I read the light novels, which I loved. I also watched part of Disappearance, and I loved that. So, yeah. You could say I like this series.

I am trying to find the light novels.
I've watched the anime and movie and find it pretty interesting. ...I skipped endless eight (I watched 2 episodes and then fast forwarded though the rest.).

Spoiler : Spoilers for the movie :

A Kyon from the future came and saved himself. Or something like that. Now Kyon needs to go back some time in the future to turn it into a stable time loop.
...I forgot most of the details.
