I like what you wrote, Zeel.

I hope we see more of Kristoph if they make another AJ... his character has too much potential to just throw away after the first game.

Speaking of that, Kristoph is a defense attorney too. I wonder how he would fit into the descriptions here for his style...

We're going off-topic with discussions about Apollo as an (un)developed character and whatnot. Those sorts of discussions should be in General Chat. ;)

Detectives are essentially the same to write as witnesses. I'll be covering the Detective character as a single archetype in the Crime section, but I'll use Gumshoe and Ema as examples.

I don't think so. I mean, this guide is about the personality of some characters. Mimi, okappa, Blader and Zeel just discussed about the personality of one of these characters. It's totally on topic.

Though, I really need to ask something (and I know, I should have asked this earlier): Hodou, who would you have chosen for Asterik DuGalle? I'm not asking that to sound insulting, I just really can't think of any other character that would work. Redd White wouldn't be impossible I guess, but

Redd White wore gloves when he stroke Mia Fey with The Thinker statue.

That's kind of my problem. No other sprite really fits in his place.
Spoiler : major spoilers if you haven't played Turnabout Escort! :
To be honest though, I'm playing through case 1-5 right now, and I don't really think the similarity is too bad. I made DuGalle to act more like an irritating yet kind grandfatherly mentor character, while Gant (in my opinion) acts a lot younger, and not as on-your-side. DuGalle tries his best to act like everybody's friend (well, maybe not Payne's), while Gant will happily stomp on some (Edgeworth) and help others (temporarily, Phoenix), depending on his needs. DuGalle is also much more long-winded and dignified than Gant.
I believe the biggest problem is that I (quite foolishly) used Gant's theme music for DuGalle. I think I will change that.

Of course, I'd still like to hear Hodou-sensei's opinion on all this. :)

I'm difficult to find on the forums these days, but if you do see me, I should be easy enough to talk to.

You could have used Luke Atmey, maybe... I thought it was fine.

Naaahhh. Atmey's body language is way too flamboyant (A reason why he's such a popular choice for eccentric witnesses) and he doesn't have any angry poses.

Guys, I don't think we want to flood this guide with questions regarding a best character match. I've opened up a thread for it here. I know it says Celebrity/Character, but you can ask for a best-fit sprite for an OC. Just list the features of the character you want to portray and you'll get a response.

Well, first of all, this.

Second of all, I'm a critic. I've never thought about it -- I'd have to go down and think of who to use. Preferably somebody who wasn't evil in the originals.

My apologies, Hodou. I feel responsible for getting us off-topic.

Allow me to remedy the situation by saying that I agree with Mimi Mika's earlier comment. I'm also looking forward to your crime section of this guide, since creating a good crime/setup is very tricky indeed- and it's hard to describe exactly how one does it.
