Emotions in trials.

Post by DKJustice1 »

Emotions are a very hard thing to master: when speaking through a character it is what makes or brakes a trial.

I would like to share a few hints I have pick up in Thornbury Writer's circle. Here is a few sentence not to be used.

In anger the boy walked out.

In sadness he cried.

He was depressed.

................
Boring right: hey never tell the reader or the player what the character is feeling let the character tell them through there actions.

Like the following example.

First one: The door rattled the building as Jim came in. James tugged on his collar as Jim opened the door and glared at him.
' Don't you dare?'

Second one;
Jane curled up in the bathroom: black lines smeared down her cheeks but in high school it was hard no one understood her she was different and they didn't like it...Sighing she hid he face in her hands and rippled appeared on the surface of the block sink,

Third one:

Staring out the window watching the children play little Billy wheeled himself away and sighed once he was like them no more all that had been taken away.
" My Life has been ruined!"
.....

Not bad hey: However this is all dialogue and this can be difficult. Think about how you say it:

"That car was a horrid colour it was mint green."

Doesn't look right does it well try this:

" Betty have you seen that Jeep?"

" ...What is that puke green?"

" Yeah who's Jeep is that?"

They share a laugh and leave.

That is how it is done anger is just like this.

" What do you think you are doing?"

" Don't ever talk to me like that?"

" I am not going to be spoken to in that tone of voice Missy."

Depression, This one is really hard and can be quiet dramatic this one has the potential to be graphic. For that I apologize.

" I was a in a lovely place full of flowers and a large house and a man who had a white horse he was calling my name."

" Cindy wake up: You need to file those cases; I want you to not to day dream this is an office not a bed!"

" My life is a hell hole I must get out of this rut, but I had no choice, it was good money but... I wanted to walk away start over but I had only just joined."

"I was the one they hated: I had done everything they asked still no one talked to me-"

....

" Even know I was part of their team, I felt like I was the outcast and it hurt me."

....
" Just what had I done wrong?"

I can try to do depression without going over board. Tell me if you like it.

I know people find surprised difficult he a little tip think of something that has made you go ' ARRRRRRGH'
My friends this is surprise.

" Whaaaaaaaaat!?"
" No Way!"

" Are you joking? "

" Seriously are you Joking."

" Good grief, you're serious. "

" Waaaaaaaaaaah!"

" No anything but this now!"

" Ack, what the hell his this...?"

Edgeworth.

" Wright what is the meaning of this?"

" You do know what time it is?"

" Ack, that sick."

" I am in you debt again."

"..........Wright."

" Ack, Franziska Von Karma!"

Franziska Von Karma

" I will take you down Phoenix Wright. Foolish fool"

" Scruffy get up there?"

" Perfection is my creed I am a Von Karma after all."

" I despise fools. Especially Foolish fools."

" I am the prosecutor for this trial and your face will be know all over the world in the news as I take you and your foolish friends down by wining my perfection will be proved the correct way of doing things. You are going down Mr Phoenix Wright."

Crack of the whips when shocked or annoyed.

.. Warning this could get a bit emotional: How to do possible swearing with out using the words.

" This is ???"

" How dare you say that to me you ****!

" ... Hey never call me that again. You do no what it means.

" Yeah but you are one."

"....."

...... In the trial.

Edgeworth gets annoyed.

" This is so ???"

Silence then mutterings

" Did he just say what I thought he said?"

Judge (anger)

" Edgeworth; I will not be having that kind of language in may court please control yourself."

Hope this clear up this misunderstanding with swearing.. Please comment

Ace Attorney Poem.

What a crime is done.
Gumshoe's has come.
His name is Dick.
It's a point and click.

To find a clue
or maybe a few.
To made your point of view.

In the trial
where every one stares
the judge does glare.

Objections fly from everywhere!
